  1. I agree with the consensus 3.0/3.5, thanks for sharing!
  2. I agree with 7.5/8.0 on this one. No single, major flaw, just an accumulation of 7 or 8 minor corner and edge defects. Thanks for sharing!
  3. That sliver of white along the upper-right front cover had me stumped. But, a quick image search shows that it's pretty common with this book. I guess it's not a flaw at all, just a printing quirk. The little rub lower-left BC tells me 9.4, and no higher. But, I'm sure I'll be wrong
  4. Unfortunately, a tear is a tear. In theory, a torn interior wrap is as much of a flaw as a torn cover. Of course, who knows if they will even notice ... I'm not convinced that graders always take not of the interiors on these modern books ;) I can't see this any higher than a 5.0, to be honest.
  5. Man, such nice rich red on this copy. Really nice That reader crease is subtle, but does break color along at least several inches. I agree with the 5.5, maybe bump to 6.0 with a little bit of C&P.
  6. With the edge damage along the top, and that bottom corner crease and aforementioned scuffs, I have this at a 7.0. Very nice, thanks for sharing
  7. Nice newsstand copy I'll say 9.2 on this one. Your pics are not quite good enough to rule out tiny flaws like spine stresses and such, so maybe it's actually better than that? Definitely a high-grade copy worth grading. Please be sure to update us with the grade if you go through with that!
  8. I agree with this, 100%. The red/yellow/blue on the back cover are pretty rich and vibrant. That wouldn't be the case if the cover was printed poorly, with low ink levels or anything like that. So, I'd conclude this copy was stored out in the open (maybe on top of a stack of books) and exposed to UV over the years. Structurally, I have this copy at about a 6.0. But, the Overstreet guide suggests fading is only "allowed" at 4.0/4.5. I'll split the difference, and call this a 5.0. Unfortunately, if you're looking to sell, the reduced eye appeal on this one might make it a tough sell.
  9. 3.0, very similar to the ASM 15 that another boardie posted in here recently. Wish I had your copy
  10. 8.0, with a shot at 8.5 after a simple press. thanks!
  11. I agree with the consensus so far, very nice example of a 3.0 to 3.5. That triangular piece out mid-spine is the killer, sadly. Thanks for sharing!
  12. Nice copy, thanks for sharing! I'd say this is a 6.0 as is, and a skilled C&P could get it to a 6.5. I believe there are too many color-breaking spine stresses to get any higher. Just my 2 cents
  13. Looks like you're gonna have to lick it to see what it is ... ;)
  14. That odd stain is so small, yet so distracting on an otherwise nice, clean spine. Almost looks like it was singed a bit? I assume it's visible from the inside of the front cover, too? I don't think any amount of cleaning is going to eliminate that. But, a press will take care of a few creases. I'm going to say 7.5 after a press, with no real need for a cleaning. Thanks for sharing!
  15. Looks like a 5.5 or 6.0 to me, quite nice and clean. Would present better after a simple press job, but a few defects are not "pressable", so the ceiling on this is a 6.0, imho. Thanks for sharing
  16. I feel like the tape pull will prevent this one from reaching 5.0. With a little TLC, it can be improved to a 4.5 IMO. Thanks for sharing
  17. Agreed. Unfortunately, there are several flaws here that can't be helped with C&P. Some skilled work can improve the eye appeal, but I think the grade is capped at 3.5.
  18. 6.0, and what a neat book. Thanks for sharing!
  19. (caveat ... I'm unclear whether the sub crease, if it is an actual "sub" crease, is also present on the front cover? It's obvious on the back, but I'm not seeing it on the front) It's a 4.0 as is. But, I'm going to stick my neck out and say that a skilled press job could lift this as high as a 6.0. The creases on the back are gnarly, but they look really pressable to me. Nice
  20. I have this at a 9.2 after a simple press. Upper-right back corner crunch, though small, being the main flaw. But it won't be helped much with the press. Nice book!
