  1. Because its the best known copy ....
  2. I think there have been more than 2 offers...
  3. Sales data for key high grade books needs to be used with caution. As important as grade is, where there is rarity such as is the case with GA keys one needs to take into account ranking of book with regards to known books in existence and availability. The Superman #1 prices higher than the Batman #1 at 8.0 level because the Bat #1 is a much more common book in that grade and ranks much lower in known copies in existence (graded and raw) compared to the Superman #1. As such there is a premium on the Superman #1. The All American #16 benefits from the same premium as lack of known high grade copies makes the 8.0 a highly ranked copy (2nd best copy?). The 2nd best known copy of Batman #1 would be worth considerably more than the All American #16 8.0. May be the same for many of the others currently below the All Americawn #16 in your listing eg Cap #1
  4. George wasn't that your old copy? My Tec #27 was a 4.0 OW - no tape. my 4.0 is ow/w
  5. George wasn't that your old copy? My Tec #27 was a 4.0 OW - no tape.
  6. Cap #1 for me. Tec #27 tape would bother me.
  7. Rick - what's your view on the probability of the Jacksonville Jaguars becoming the London Jaguars?
  8. I like bargains. I'm looking forward to buying Adventure 40, Marvel 1, All American 16 and More Fun again over be next couple of years. I'll enjoy owning them more with a smaller amount of money invested in them Not all Marvel 1s are selling for low prices I sold mine in 2013 for substantially higher than I paid for it (Buyer asked me not to disclose price - sorry).
  9. I can't even remember the last time someone posted a copy of this issue, very nice! I need one.
  10. (thumbs u congrats. The tougher part of the run is done...all down hill now after the 31...
  11. I'll just have to stick with mine then.
  12. Indeed I have nice copy Bill...will look great with your Bat 1 its my book, I am just lending it to bill for a bit (under 6 months ) No sir. You will not be in possesion of this book in the foreseeable future. However, if and when I do tire of it, you are first in line.
  13. I wish they were more open to payment plans. Would make big purchases possible. They are open to payment plans. Suggest you call Vincent and ask him for time payments. They are very accommodating.
  14. I was always opposed to this idea Mike, but more and more it makes sense to me. Will it stop someone who's willing to make a bunch of posts or wait the required time? Perhaps not ,but it would allow us to get a cut of their jib and it would give them an opportunity to learn about this place and perhaps learn the rules and culture. Spot on. + 3. Unfortunately I don't think it will stop anyone determined to trick people. Just means they have to be polite till they qualify.
  15. Agree with you if communicated properly, otherwise, a window offer could be deemed aggressive.
  16. A great run of books that are underappreciated due to the lack of super-heroes. The run can be put together with a lot of luck in onrestored condition -it took me 3 years to do it. I'm sorely tempted to do it again but there has in the last 6 months been an increase in the market prices for the books. If you decide to go for it you will defintly put together a great run of books.
  17. Great book. Do you really want to slab it? I'd love to read and flcik through my book but its slabbed so I'm limited to the Batman Chronicles version.
  18. 9 and 22 Three tough books. I'll keep an eye open. I think I saw one of those somewhere???
  19. 9 and 22 Three tough books. I'll keep an eye open. Thanks
  20. Thanks for the heads up but the FA is too low grade for me and the Church VF/NM a touch too expensive.
