I’ve never came across one in dollar bins, then again it’s not like I deliberately look for the book.

I wouldn’t know what to think if I saw a 1st appearance of Squirrel Girl for for $3,000.

It could happen, but who would willingly go through the trouble just to do that?

I’ve never thought about touching a book of that scale (since I can’t afford one) and personally if I were in your position, I would take a lot of things into accountability. It’s missing 2 centerfolds, what are the chances I come across them? The pages are brittle, what more damage could I cause if I were to crack it out the CGC case and flip through it? I would just say wait until you come across a complete copy that’s restored to some extent or maybe even conserved.
