  1. Don’t feel bad, I tapped out on the Flash Comics #92 after $7000 and thought I was crazy. It ended up going for $25,200 w/ BP. Someone wanted that book more than I did for sure.
  2. That’s not what I exactly had in mind but good enough. It’s still a cool piece of comic book history nonetheless, owning a page from Action Comics #1 and it featuring a DC Comics character that’s still around today.
  3. In all seriousness, sorry this happened to you and am glad to hear you resolved your issue with the seller!
  4. There goes my chances of owning one anytime soon.
  5. If the cover is $12,000 by itself, it makes me wonder how much that person paid for a complete coverless copy of the book.
  6. Standard rules apply: I’ll consider offers, but first gets the book! This trumps previous negotiations unless both parties have come to an agreement, at which time I will close the book. No probation or HOS boardies allowed. I’ll be accepting PayPal. Shipping is $10 for raw books and $15 for slabs within the U.S. territories only. International buyers, please inquire about shipping. I’ll be offering 7 day returns on raw books. No returns on CGC graded book. $475
  7. I’m from the future, and I’m here to tell you that you’re absolutely correct.
  8. It makes sense when you put it that way, but I think CGC would’ve at least knocked it down a few grades due to the dust shadow if this wasn’t a book from a pedigree collection.
  9. Oh yeah for sure! I know this feeling all too well.
  10. I don’t know.. some of the grades don’t make any sense to me, especially this one.
  11. To be fair, this collection is pretty interesting. Tom covering it isn’t a surprise to me, It basically came out of no where and no one expected it. 5000+ GA books in high grade (some probably over graded) but still, it amazes me. I think it’s cool to see him use his platform and talk about this.
  12. I can totally relate to this. I don’t have any intent on selling the books I actually enjoy and when I look through them, I can’t help but feel a sense of joy owning the stuff I have since I’ve started my wonderful journey of collecting. I also have pictures on my phone too, so that works out too.
  13. Bumping an 18 year old thread..
  14. I totally agree with this! Sure we’re all skeptical about a high grade pedigree collection coming out of no where and hitting Heritage Auctions, but if the family of the collection wishes to remain anonymous, respect their privacy!
  15.
