  1. So I finally got around to building this Whitman Battlestar Galactica display. It was really well designed and went together quickly. I was happy to see that all of the places you were supposed to fold it had guide lines already pressed into place (don't know the technical term), so I didn't have to try to fold hard cardboard in a straight line, and it also folded right back into place and looked flat again after I disassembled it. Here are some photos:
  2. Also Evel Related but not that comic related... Derry Daring! (thanks for the image Geordiebiker!) She did appear, as Evel did of course, in comic book ads:
  3. Bringing it back around to comics, you may remember the Team America toys, which contained a Marvel comic in the box: And were sort of related to Evel through Marvel and Ideal: The action figures also came with a (rolled up!) comic. Pretty cool. And the awesome Captain America/Team America Stunt Chopper, which also contained a Marvel comic:
  4. Here's a cool old brochure for the toys. (picture from eBay (thanks!) - not my auction).
  5. Thanks for the link. After more reading and thinking I'm going to vote Don Perlin.
  6. For the pole (if you can't remove it): What about finding or making a life size spidey to hang on it? Great thread. Thanks for taking the time Genesis - it's very interesting.
  7. Nice Thanks jbud! Not only made a purchase, but bumped the thread back to the front page
  8. Yeah I hate that. It forces you to at least consider being the person_who_is_obnoxiously_self-impressed in order to avoid being screwed.
  9. IMO The new CGC case would not be vulnerable to this kind of tampering. The thing is hard to crack even when you don't care about the damage showing.
