  1. Come to the next one Woowoo! Also on Saturday. November 4th.
  2. Yes Harv had the sweet Amazing Fantasy 15 for sale. Yes I saw the high grade ASM 122 and all the other bronze keys sell, and the raw WWBN 32 and 33, tons of golden age - almost everyone leaving had a big stack of comics and a smile on their face But you can also have a blast finding really nice comics on the cheap at our show! Here's my haul yesterday: High grade Marvels from my want list (already rebagged in 2mm mylars and fullbacks haha): Dollar books! And some nostalgic readers from Dale Quick's 50 cent box. And, yes, that's a bottle of wine included in my haul! Thanks for the wine Jeff! (We're both wine guys). All this for the grand total of $37
  3. I think everyone would agree this was our best show ever! So fun. The perfect balance of comic books and collectors! Thanks for coming everyone! Huge thanks to The Brain for helping with parking and bringing donuts for CGC Boardies (again)! Here are some pics from the show.
  4. Thanks for the info Donut! The issue is on the way. I'm looking forward to it.
  5. Right on man! I appreciate it as always. Looking forward to it!
  6. I like your idea about religious shops. I think that may be it. Here are the indicas (SP?) for the 75 cent direct and the $1.00 cover (the only two I have raw and can photograph - don't really want to crack the $1.95 copy, and don't have the other 75 cent copy). You can see they deleted the date on the $1.00 copy, which likely means it's a later copy. They did update the price.
  7. Correct. Good catch - I didn't notice that! Yes I believe all Canadian versions have a bar code. Correct. I'm not sure if Canadians all have the blurb. Here is the back of my graded $1.95 copy.
  8. Any ideas what's going on here? I realize I may be the single human on Earth that collects this book Just noticed that there are four different versions of this book, with three different price points! (Second image borrowed from eBay)
  9. I was born in 68. I watched the TV jump specials across the street at my friends house because my family didn't have a TV. Half the neighborhood was there. Epic.
  10. Getting fired up for the show tomorrow! Saturday August 5th at the Berkeley Senior Center Everybody should come on out for comic books tomorrow - it's only five bucks, and we'll probably have more comic books available than most of the big "Comic Book" Conventions that charge you $25+! We love comics! I'll be working the door, so be sure to say Hi and let me know you're from the boards!
  11. Now I'm on the hunt for the box, thanks to Philflound!
  12. Great info, thanks! You had very cool parents. Yeah, that place is down in the catacombs of Pike Place! Hard to find even when you know it's there
  13. What do you mean by "single books"? Is there only one book in there? If so, I'd guess it's an error, as the price on the front is still 99 cents. Still pretty cool.
  14. Yeah, you need to note any special attributes such as pedigree or variant on the form. In my experience they have notated the label properly when I have done so.
  15. I do remember a discussion about how many were actually signed, but I don't remember the details. I feel like much of the value on this item was due to the provenance provided.
  16. Very cool! I was tracking that one - if it was Marvel I would have been in there. I was also tracking the signed Superman/Spiderman Treasury but stopped when it passed $500 (hammer was $865). Congrats it's a great display !
  17. There's no attribution inside the book that I can see, and I don't recognize the art. I can recognize that it is pretty bad but I still love it, because...
  18. Very cool, thanks for posting Greggy!
  19. I look for stuff like this every single day and have never seen one of these before. Now that I know there's a case card/back card/header for this book - I wonder if there's also a printed case/shipper, similar to the Star Wars and other Treasuries that had printed interiors. Anybody have any idea?
  20. But have you ever seen one of these? I'm so excited to have found it, and now own it
