  1. well it looks like the package arrived down 5 days prior to deadline, although the package was marked MW on the outside it looks like it never got around to being opened sooooo now waiting for the dreaded email stating that the books missed the deadline.... oh well I blame the US postal service on this one......just wish I knew why that particular package was held on the US side for 20 days before being delivered to Florida.

Hello! We are sorry to hear that delays may have caused your book to be late to the signing event. If you do miss the deadline, our Signature Series department will reach out to you directly via email with options on how to move forward regarding your submission. This usually will include the option to grade the book with a Universal Blue label or have the book sent back raw and ungraded.

Thanks for the reply.  This is actually the very first time that any of my boxes were held up at the Canada/US mail system.  When Canada Post tells me it will take 10 business days to get CGC, it's pretty accurate.  I'm crossing fingers but no further updates on the box tonight.

  3. I had mailed 2 different boxes on the same day, one for Ron Marz signing and the other signing for Mark Waid on the Oct 8 of this year.  As per mailing schedule, the Ron Marz box got to you guys and was put it in the system already for the Nov. 11 signing Woot!

Sadly for whatever mailing reason the second box finally was processed at the L.A terminal early this morning October 31st sooooo I don't know what will happen next.  If the box does appear at your doorstep after the date of the signing, then I would still prefer to get them pressed and graded....I would just hate for them to be sent back to me just as raw books.

At least I know at the moment that they were in LA. :) for the last 10 days I was wondering what happened to them cause the only info I got was the box was delivered to the foreign country which doesn't tell me exactly where they are in the foreign country

  4. I already have some of my favorite DC books signed by the Legendary Mr. George Perez but I will be sending down 3 more for him sign that is if he is still healthy....I wish to hell I could send more down to support him and his family.  If the Canadian dollar was equal to the American dollar it would be a different story.  Books I'm sending down,  Action Comics #645 which was the first appearance of Maxima, Teen Titans #1(the teenagers that had a young Atom on the team. :) ) and The Brave and the Bold #4, when else could you see an image of Supergirl riding off with Lobo's bike on the cover?????  Soooooo many other DC covers I would have loved to send down but I can't :(  I'm sure that the 3 books will come back less than 9.8 especially the Action Comics book, I read that alot back in the day cause it has a great story and artwork.

Also the other books he signed of mine through CGC, he used a black marker.....I was trying to take that into account when I was picking what I wanted him to sign,  it's amazing how many covers had alot of black background....

Guess tomorrow being monday, I will be packing them up to ship them off.

  5. At the same time that I sent books for Howard Porter to sign, I had sent books for Peter David and Dan Jurgens to sign and they already came back in December and January.  I'm getting concerned because at the 8 month stage, the submission list for me on the cgc webpage will be cleared, and I won't even be able to see those books unless the grading process begins.  Which means, the only evidence that I will ever have that I sent 3 books for Howard Porter to sign is the screenshot that I took of my submission list.....   I just wish, I was given a heads up that his signings were delayed or something or anything!!! Up to this Porter thing, I thought the service was great especially me living in Edmonton Alberta.  Now this Porter thing has kinda of turned me off from any further signature signing....I would love to sent more books to be slabbed and graded but I want to get some books back first........ please putta please.

  6. Well...... Today is basically the first week of April....and sadly my Howard Porter books are still at the receiving stage... :( all those supposedly big signings happened wayyyyy back in October....I already got back my Peter David's and Dan Jurgen's books back and from the slab information, they had signed on Nov. 11 and 12 of 2020......I wonder when Howard Porter was able to sign...

Light on graders? Ive had some books in scheduled for grading for about 6 weeks now.

You think you have it bad, scroll back abit on this thread and you will see that I am still waiting for 3 books signed by Howard Porter....still at the "Receiving"stage I'm assuming that maybe he showed up at a later date compared to Mr. Peter David and Mr. Dan Jurgens cause both of them signed my books on Nov. 12 of 2020 and I got them a week apart wayyy back in late December...........

ok well thats a long time to wait. Im noticing times across the collectible industry at both bgs and psa for cards is out of control so I think CGC is struggling right now as well. For 10-15 bus days a graded card at bgs will run you $150 now. Increase in pricing im sure is coming for cgc as well.

Yeah but hey...I don't send any further of my old books down there until I get whatever is down there back.....so I'm saving money for now. :)

Just speculation but they can say being closed for a few holiday days gkt them backed up but...im willing to bet they haven’t hired enough processors to deal with the influx in their newly launched card grading business. Im seeing items take 2+ weeks just to get logged and have some in scheduled for grading for 3+ weeks as well...

Well today is the Feb. 14, I made that post on the 8th....and it's still at the "Receive" staged.....I should mention I have already received signings from Peter David and Dan Jurgens..both of the were lucky enough to sign on Nov.12...perhaps Mr. Porter came much later.....

Sent 2 books in for the Eastman + Bishop signing, shipped last Tuesday, arrived to CGC Friday and showing received today!!! I will probably get these back before the 3 that have been there since 10/23/20 still not back from CCS, I am hoping it will be this week.

Same boat as you, CGC received mine on Oct 14 for the big signings on Oct. 29 and etc..... 3 JLA books with Howard Porter signatures are still not back from CCS.................

  11. We are the last in line....and thanks to the media like youtube, the collectors out there can showcase their wares cause today's kids are not buying comics the way we did when were were young.  They not gonna spend 20 bucks for 4 current print comics...they might buy the digital version but that's a big "Might".  I have decided when it comes to unbox my CGC returns to try get my nephews and niece involved because when it comes time to had off my collection I want them to know the art as well as the value of some of those CGC slabs... :)

Ugh.. I went through what I have in que to send to CGC , and now I am on the fence.  With some of the prices realized for the Superboy #9 DC Universe Logo,  I have been debating sending in my copy for grading as it stands a good shot at 9.8, but with the Humberto Ramos Signing announcement I am weighing whether to send it for SS or regular Blue Label.. :frustrated:20200901_011653.thumb.jpg.f55cbb1a25f77f31947c494a2a915b03.jpg

I am in the exact same boat as you are....when it was stated he was coming to CGC for signings...I had to check his history to see if he had done any DC work cause I don't do Marvel :) ....and wouldn't you know it he did Issue 9 and 10 which I have in my collection but I don't think I have the DC Universe logo though...:(    I know that late last year that the comic was picking up steam because of the potential appearance in the next Suicide Squad but I am not at that stage to sell it maybe in 20 years.  Which is why I haven't bothered to slab it because I have older books that could go for the blue label slab but he's signing and Superboy Issue 9 is gettering up there in age like 27 years old!!!!

I live in Canada, so I wouldn't just send one comic because the cost of shipping sooooooo I'm thinking Issue 9 and 10 of Superboy from 1994 then he had done the covers of Young Justice #44 and #45 from 2002 and maybe Showcase 95 issue 5(1995), he had done just the cover. ;)  But that's $350 American dollars with $100 for pressing and then there's the return shipping,  I haven't even took in account the dollar exchange rate OY!  Or do I just say I pass and don't do anything till I get my HOWARD PORTER Signature Slabs back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

I remember reading this issue as a kid, that superman who could forget! Something about it always made it look like was floating but its space, and I dont know if a movable force can float on it's own or if that is just my imagination lol

Like you float in water, so is it the same terminology in space Haha, or is it orbit only or just weightless idk

Still my point a very memorable cover for me too.

Glad you got the sigs and books done you wanted  :)

The sig placement is pretty nice too

    thanks. :)
