  1. Cheers - not sure yet about cover gloss.
  2. Cool OK you didn't bid on it - is it ropier than it looks in the pic..?
  3. Cheers Bayowolf - yeah I'm just asking for opinions based on whats visible. It could turn up and be water soaked - or the centre pages could be missing etc etc. Hope not.
  4. Sorry I only have the 1 pic of this at the moment. Would anyone mind having a shot at this. Its intact and I expect to get the label off with no problem. Cheers.
  5. Cheers - yeah it looks great in the hand. Until you tilt it sideways next to a window you can't see any creases and the retouching is invisible.
  6. Cheers. So if non-retouched and same appearance you'd give it 5.5 blue..?
  7. Cheers. Visually I'd say its about a 6.5 - then knock off 2 points for resto..?
  8. Pro colour touch - pretty much invisible - on colour breaking creases. Pressed. Untrimmed. Cheers in advance.
  9. Sure. For me once they visually degrade past a certain point I can't see the point of owning them - unless its an AF15 or similar. This is an experiment for me - I've bought it specifically to retouch and sell. I put an ASM14 on ebay last month - nice nick but ad page missing. Gone in an hour.
  10. Hi folks. I decided to prettify this 50. On here it had scored a 3.0 to 3.5 in its raw state so I'd like to know what you think it now looks visually. Bear in mind ofc that when tilted to the light you can see where the creases were. Im going to repair the bottom right corner too. How do you all feel about restoration on a comic in low grade..? Once it gets down to 3.5 I'm all for it - I can't see the point of very tatty looking comics.
  11. Cheers yeah I thought about that. I'm going to restore it. Not heavy stuff but colour touch and corner infill + clean and press. I want it to look prettier but still untrimmed etc.
  12. Hi folks what do you think..? Staples are tight. These are the only pics I have at the moment. Needs a clean and press. Cream. Cheers
  13. Ebay £950 - on here £850 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/274354597066
  14. Cheers - yeah that one's qualified but the page is missing rather than married. It so depends on the buyer its hard to be very precise. I'm leaning towards forgetting about it but I'll see. Its fun to think about.
  15. Cheers. I am heeding all the advice - I don't want to spend $500 on a ropey copy to get the wrap. What was the qualified copy..? I had a look and can't find anything - could you tell me where it is..? Purely out of interest. Cheers
  16. Yeah I understand. I guess it depends really on how much money there is in it. A big time dealer wouldn't faff around with a book to make $200 but I probably would. I think the ASM14 is a cool enough book to attract a buyer for say half the price of same general condition but unrestored.
  17. Incomplete..? I don't think so - conserved yes - restored yes but non invasively. A whole wrap that is. A single page stuck in would be invasive.
  18. Hi no I'm not breaking this one up - I might get a tatty one to marry the wrap. I know it would be less hassle to just sell it but I like fixing things if I can. I don't consider marrying to be invasive restoration.
  19. Harry yeh but someone else might - or might not who knows..? Prob more for the splash and first Goblin panel page..? If not such is life.
  20. No idea - maybe none but that doesn't prove anything.
