  1. Yeah the page is unique to ASM14. I'll just have to wait for a wreck to come up for auction. BIN prices on wrecks are silly.
  2. Yeah and I'm now 99.9% sure the ad only appears in ASM14 so I'll have to see if a really rough one comes up incomplete.
  3. Very kind thank you but it doesn't show the interiors. I've asked here and sent a few emails on ebay so we'll see but I think ASM14 might be the only example of the page. Ofc I can get a rough 14 but even they are like $500.
  4. Looks like ASM14 is probably the only book that has that exact page. Other books have different ads on the reverse side.
  5. Sure - I've got a14 with the page missing and I'd like to at least have a loose one to slip inside or maybe even have a go at repairing it.
  6. Hi thank you thats very kind of you. To me it looks like none of the books have the ad same page - the one with camouflage paint on the front and FF and Astonish on the back as pictured in my post..?
  7. cheers yeah but don't have any - investigating - its not in that months Two Gun Kid # 70 - one side is but the other side is different
  8. OK eagle-eyed folks does anyone recognise this page..? Its in ASM14 and I'm trying to find out if its in any other books. Anyone recognise it from any other book..? These pics are both sides of the same page. cheers in advance
  9. Lower on thi sone but in general I've noticed here on the board an average of about 1.5 difference in grades. That's a big difference.
  10. Grading's a mystery to me - all over the shop. (well done though)
  11. Would you believe: I was scrutinising the edges of the back and I didn't notice the stain - true!
  12. Sure. Its for someone who wants to fill a gap with fairly smart copy but can't afford £1500 or whatever.
  13. 5.0..? Or do the initials keep it down to a 4.5..? Interior is pretty good.
  14. Well I'd like to flip it I guess to get a higher grade one or something else. I'm always working towards trying to get the best grade I can. I saw a slightly better one with the same page married + reinforcing of cover etc got nearly £1500 so its worth contemplating - depends what the donor costs.
  15. I've had lots of advice about my ASM14 with 1 ad page missing - some strong advice to just sell it on as is. But I can't help thinking if I can nab the missing page or wrap for say £100 and just include it loose that would make the book more sellable and also add more than £100 to the value. Of course it might not but thats a pretty high value key and its in nice nick apart from that page.
  16. Well my Spidey 14 I was thinking I might get half the usual value so 75% would be great. I've seen really shredded ASM14s getting relatively quite big amounts.
  17. Thanks - I must say 5 with a page missing seems quite high..? Not complaining though.
  18. Really..? So don't do anything at all - just sell with missing page..?
  19. Cheers. I think ASM14 in 5.0 or 5.5 might be worth it. Possibly marry it then sell the spare copy..? I'll see how nice it look sin the hand when it arrives.
  20. Fair dos cheers. Big spread of opinions on this one from 4.0 to 5.5 with a press. That's a big difference.
  21. Do you think clean and press will bump it up 0.5..?
  22. Aye. But what about value..? Whatever you can get for it I guess..? But by grade almost nothing. Actually it could probably be broken up and sold as wraps for replacements on other copies..? I won't do that on this one though.
  23. I think PLOD for chemical removal of labels etc is daft - any book thats been read and is 50 odd years old will probably already have more gunk on/in it already from fingers, ageing, and the label glue itself than will touch it to remove a label.
