  1. So I just had big Silver Age book reslabbed (from 2nd Gen to current slab) and was surprised that there is now a scan for my book when you look up the cert. Good scan too. Not sure if it has been talked about on the boards but the new heavy duty plastic bags apparently can leave a very heavy plastic residue or other blemish on the plastic case. So my book looked flawless in the scan and when I opened the box today the bag had wreaked havoc on the slab. Had to order a thing called polywatch which is apparently supposed to take whatever the residue/smudging off. Less than ideal but I don't want to ship this book back again.
  2. Did someone put out a notice that is was time to sell AF15s? I hadn't looked in a while so did a quick scan on eBay and found around 25 CGC Universal labels between 1.0 and 5.0 for sale and another half dozen or so in higher grades. There is always a few for sale....just can't remember this many at one time. Noting that none are auctions and a lot seem to have "optimistic" BIN prices.
  3. This methodology would seem to show a general flattening of the declines......with some month to month volatility. And probably a lot of book by book volatility as well.
  4. Updated chart for 2.5 to 5.5 Universal with nice clean alignment/spread for the June sales. At least for these grades - pretty stable since Fall.
  5. - Captain America 268 269 270 272-280 Ann 5 lot of 13 for $40 (page 8) - What If 1-4 F to VF lot $45 (page 7) - Fantastic Four lot 15 book lot for $70 (page 6) take per PM
  6. Heritage June 2023 Signature auction.
  7. I paused at around $2k with several days to go planning on going back the day of and playing a bit aggressive to see if I could land it. When I went back with over a day left it had swelled to just under $4k so I knew I was out. I figured someone had just decided to muscle others out but never thought it would rise $1.5k from there. I am in Europe right now so getting up at 2A to bid on auctions has to really be worth - I knew I could just sleep through that particular book.
  8. Apologies for being the person that is always posting outliers here…..but this one also stood out as I am in the market for this book. Spider-Man #62 in 9.8 - just sold last week on Comic Connect for $2.3k. The book has been selling in the mid to high 2ks for almost three years with all time peak of $4k back in 2009. Three sales this year all under $2.7k excluding the CC sale. And then last night on ComicLink a copy with no particular special qualities (white pages, nice wrap, etc just like CC copy) sold for a hair-raising (pun intended) $5.3k. I will admit to having just gotten sick of waiting and being outbid a few times that I willingly overpaid just to end the pursuit on a book. But paying 125-30% more on a $2k book is really aggressive. Can’t believe two parties kept it going that long. And the worst part of overpaying on Clink is your overpay won’t even bump up the average on GPA which means the next few sales could always increase the spread.
  9. Added these to the Six Figure Club thread. Superman #1 down $1M from last sale - Action #1 down a little (on a relative basis of $1.6M vs $1.5M). AF15 up just a little.
  10. Goldin auction ending 6/14/23. Four more....... Action and Superman both down from last sales - Superman by a whopping $1M ($2.6M vs $1.6M). AF15 actually up a hair over last sale of $117k
  11. Pretty strong result given this book/grade has been bouncing around $1.6k-$2k since winter.
  12. "And when Alexander saw the breadth of his domain, he wept, for there were no more worlds to conquer." - Hans Gruber
  13. WHAT IF 2 6.0 8 CAPTAIN AMERICA 282 9.2 12 ... 1st NOMAD will take these 2 as well. Thanks
  14. Take ASM 144, 155, 287 FF 105, 141, 196, 209 Hulk 217, 219 Star Wars annual 1 Would also take ASM 166 if the hold status changes
  15. Rolling updates from CC auction - please give a shout if you see something missing
  16. Ahh….thank you. I am most often trolling on an iPad and that watch list history option isn’t visible until I hold iPad horizontally. Much better….
  17. But even the formatting of bid history is really hard to tell what is what when you are searching......it offers no indication of issue or grade or even a clear date...... And I hate the CC doesn't actually open a new window when you click on a listing. All maddening......
  18. it has been said before - Comic Connect is by far the hardest to track/watch what is happening. At least CL leaves full results up for anyone to see - bidder or not - for the duration of the auction.
  19. Last sold in April 2022 for $432k. The below price include the premium. I am also tracking all of these in the Six Figure Club post......
  20. June 2023 ComicConnect - Batman 2.0 for $176.5K, Hulk 1 8.0 $111.2k, JIM 83 9.4 $350.4k, Iron Man #1 9.9 $106k, Superman #1 2.0 $281.8k, Suspense Comics #11 9.8 $147k
  21. At this risk of having the anti-MC group call my baby ugly.....here is my copy. Buy the book, not the grade? Good advice. But sometimes you might find yourself in a place where you have to buy the deal.
