  1. Very surprised it bumped from a 3.5 to a 4.0. I would think it would go 3.5 to 3.0 with that chew defect. Looks nice otherwise.
  2. Thanks. I tend to favor Cap parachute or free fall covers by Schomburg. Out of the later Schomburg run, I like 26,28,33 the most.
  3. How come you never offer me deals like that?
  4. I think one store is even in Wisconsin.
  5. I think I am the only one who ranks the 33 as the best cover in the double digit Caps.
  6. Graham Crackers has nine stores in the area
  7. The OCT Marvel 1 is the highlight for me.
  8. Simon worked on the interior stories of Daring Mystery 1 so he had to have been hired pre Oct 1939. He may have been hired by Goodman shortly after Marvel 1 was published. Kirby’s first work for Timely was Red Raven 1 (real time release May 1940). Simon recruited him over from FOX for a hefty pay raise so I imagine Kirby was hired early 1940. S&K left Timely for DC after the first 10 issues of Cap so that would have been roughly early 1942.
  9. Agreed and I believe I remember you having a lengthy conversation with Bob Overstreet at SDCC one year trying to convince him to adjust the guide to reflect a “pp CGC point” at least for low to mid grade tiers.
  10. Agreed. But there are some nutty prices being shelled out these days.
  11. No on cgc, but Overstreet noted it in their price listing a few guides back after I suggested it in my report.
  12. First round shield on the 2 is getting more attention and rightfully so.
