  1. 1.8 for me but it certainly still has 2.0 eye appeal. Glad it came back a 2.0 and nice videos you have on youtube.
  2. Although not as shiny, I like the snug poly bags that has a pre applied sticky strip on the back to hold the flap. There isn't as much "space" around the new slab and the bag is tighter. Not sure who sells those though....
  3. Yes, staple holes along the cover lining up/misaligned with staples on first wrap will show if that cover belongs to that interior. Although it is possible to have married the two and the staples and holes line up perfectly. In that case, it may be impossible to tell unless the PQ did not match up with interior covers Typically, tanning or browning on the inside covers mean the same for the interior pages.
  4. Mike, I still remember your epic GA Actions sale thread.
  5. Storms is known to have books with nice full date stamps
  6. 8.0, even with the interior page tear. Nice book Steve.
  7. Nick, you couldn’t get your old post count account back?
  8. Great topic that CGC should detail more at some point on their labels. A brittleness (or even whiteness) scale for covers and Interior pages seems inevitable and necessary given the high price points that books continue to trend towards. It would be a lot more info printed on the labels but it would help buyers know what they are getting on a slabbed book. I once got a Tec 8 from Gator and we agreed that the pages were 99% cr/ow but for one tiny area on one page that was a little delicate..but CGC gave it slightly brittles pages which was not really telling the whole story.
  9. Sorry I meant to type “99” in the title and it won’t seem to let me edit.
  10. As a bonus, I will throw in the Hawkeyes # 1-4 for FREE with purchase of the lot of NM books. Asking $35 shipped to the USA.
  11. Merry Christmas All - I stumbled across some raw NM books and will be selling these as one lot of raw books. The 88 and 90 are around 7.0 -8.0 to be conservative, and the 94 around 5.0-6.0. The 99 appears to be the nicest around a 9.0. Sorry, there is no 87 or 98... First posted wins and trumps any PMs. All books will be shipped USPS 1st Class. Payments accepted are Paypal, checks, MOs. I will accept returns within 5-7 days that you receive the books. References include GAtor, Filter81, cbcnow, Dark Knight, and more. group pics to follow. thanks, Ben
  12. DD 75, 78, 87, 93, 94, 97, 101, 102 DD 182 x 3, 183, 184, 185, 186, 187, 188, 189, 191 What if #35 (Elektra had lived?) Lot of 20 books asking $70.00 shipped in the USA. (The group of FFs #184-188) are FREE with purchase of the lot)
  13. Merry Christmas All - I stumbled across some raw DDs and will be selling these in a lot of 20 raw books. None of the books are bagged or boarded. The 15/20 cent issues average around 2.0-2.5 in grade with the #87 a little rougher. The later bronze issues are also unbagged and unboarded but average in the 6.0 -7.0 range to be conservative (possible a few 8.0s in there). This is a great reader set for kids or to fill your runs. I also have five, raw FF bronze issues around 4.0 in grade that will be free with the purchase of the DD lot. First posted wins and trumps any PMs. All books will be shipped USPS 1st Class. Payments accepted are Paypal, checks, MOs. I will accept returns within 5-7 days that you receive the books. References include GAtor, Filter81, Bunky, cbcnow, Dark Knight, and more. group pics to follow. thanks, Ben
