  1. Hard to pick and rank but here's a tentative list of ten (not ranked and subject to change ) Detective 27 Detective 29 Detective 31 Action 1 Action 7 Cap 1 Bat 1 Supe 1 Marvel 1 Marvel Mystery 9
  2. I like supe 3 better than the action 13 train cover. I'd still take an action 13 first though.
  3. of course. He's currently not sure how many coke zeros he's already drank in the big easy
  4. Reading this question directly after the one above it made me chuckle! (Yes, I realize there is a con in NO this weekend.)
  5. Will you be eating gumbo this weekend?
  6. I'll do better. Here's my Joker/ Bat 1 splash recreation painting by our very own Ryan Heshka. This would have made a great Bat 1 cover--first joker app and on the FC--perhaps Bat 1 would be worth a bit more today? I think demand would be even higher. Here's the original splash on the first joker story on bat 1 Love it Ben! Yeah, that might have made for an even more iconic cover. BTW: Yours truly may or may not be talking with Mr. Heshka regarding a couple GA cover recreations! The more I looked at his work, the more I realized I had to get something. thanks! Ryan's work is truly amazing.
  7. It won't be sniffing my 12K regions. I won't be sniffing any of your regions
  8. I'm confused with this being a "recent" graded book, "per Sparkle", has not, or did not CGC drop the whole "re attached" label, when grading, ?? Last year? even if the FC was not re attached and loose, it would still get a .5 so wouldn't get a grade bump regardless.
  9. Bat 1s are running about $15k a point in low grade. Pending eye appeal of course.
  10. you are right. The OSPG does mention it. Someone reported to Overstreet for the 42nd (2012 Ed) so it's recently been noted. Anyone know who found this swipe and reported to OSPG? Good catch
  11. AA16 swipe! Over a year prior to AA16 too!
  12. 3 staples...it must be an early Timely, predating 1941! (thumbs u Right you are! Last hint: It's a ped. and the marvelous Mr B owns the other census topper. Any guesses? marvel mystery 5
  13. that's quite a dinner table setting Richard
  14. as always, it was timing. I was on a witch hunt for a copy back in 2007 and Terry Oneil, David T. Alexander, and a timely collector in Toronto all had copies. I bought Terry's first then found out David had one. The Toronto copy came along as well. All this happened within 1-2 months time. I bought them all. Traded the 3.5 to rick for a Tec 8. Sold the Toronto VG/f (staple reinforcement) to Phil Bellmore. The last (best appeal) copy, 2.5, I sold on these boards to help fund my Cap 1.
  15. I was watching it NOT bidding on it even though I love low graders and it is on my want list...I didnt think it would reach that high to be honest as it was INCOMPLETE and Brittle...maybe if it was slightly brittle or complete but you could see chunks of it falling apart in the slab ... Either way we learn once again that even in the lowest of grades these classic books still will demand a decent chunk of change...and you were right the cover did present fairly well given the assigned grade (thumbs u Just looked a little too brittle even for this guy haha. I hear you. I may never get another shot at a sub-1k USA 7 with a decent cover. But yeah, that book was just crumbling in the case. Trust me bro I absolutely understand ya your copy is out there the hunt continues!!!! as you can see these are my type of books as well!!!! I just prefer them complete and not totally brittle (slightly I can handle!!)...I believe Dale had a pretty nice looking copy for $2500 in his sale thread...I thought real hard about that one!! In this particular case with the USA #7 the cover is sooooo cool I think I would just rather have R. Heshka (unsure of pricing as I dont have any of his pieces...YET ) or Artboy99 do me a HUGE cover recreation (he does awesome work!!!) might just have to do that that eBay USA 7 was Bill's (goldenacase). He's had it on these boards for sale not too long ago. Heshka has already done a USA 7 cover for AGGIEZ, so he won't paint that one again. I used to have three copies of USA 7. The last one was a CGC 2.5 that I sold on these boards in 2011
  16. I think the 14 was the one Arnold tried to steal from a comic shop on an episode of Diffrent "watchu talkin' 'bout Willis?" Strokes?
  17. The 14 is arguably the top 5 saught after Ditko Spidey. Here's my copy.
  18. curse you! He asked a civil question. There's no need to be rude. I wasn't. I mean the Japanese guy on the subby 6 cover is saying "curse you!" to subby. It wasn't directed to Johnny545 I was kidding with my response Thanks for answering the question. (thumbs u
