  1. dad is still finding time for his toys.
  2. that is great Rick. Will be praying for your trip and impact. I thought you were going to Taiwon?
  3. is that a sub crease breaking color? If so, likely a 4.0 from CGC with the sub crease and spine crease. still a nice book.
  4. I hate to tell you Alex but 29 is waaay cooler someday you will understand when your older (thumbs u The story in 29 is much better than 31. But 31 is a better cover. A cover that is published as the back cover to the giant DC anniversary book has to be pretty important. 100% agree. They should have but the 31 cover on the front of that DC anniversary book
  5. Great book , I rate 29 much higher than the 31 well, I passed on the 5.0 #29 you got from Rick last year (couldn't swing the price), so happy to get this one! I am beginning to like 29 more and more--catching up to the 31 but not quite...29 has the better story IMO.
  6. Lets just say that I am currently in the middle of a transaction, the details of which I will be happy to share on the boards the moment it is complete. What I can tell you is that I changed my display-name because I no longer own a copy of Detective Comics #33; and preferred to update my display-name to something a bit more generic to the Batman character while still retaining my love for GA Tecs. (thumbs u I like your new profile pic (thumbs u
  7. 30 year, zero down, fixed rate, and lifetime Disneyland passes should do it (thumbs u I say make the loan now before interest rate goes up. Well, at least Dark Knight does not have to pay property taxes...but insurance though. can't wait to see the pic of Pre Robins with the 4.0 Tec 27 in it DK He earned it. yes and one of the youngest Pre Robin go getters in our hobby (thumbs u I'm wondering who the youngest person is/was who completed the set I was 21 and 22 when I picked up my first copies of All Select 1 and Marvel Mystery 9 (thumbs u
  8. 30 year, zero down, fixed rate, and lifetime Disneyland passes should do it (thumbs u I say make the loan now before interest rate goes up. Well, at least Dark Knight does not have to pay property taxes...but insurance though. I'd probably be homeless if I did that with a nice Tec 27 though

If only i can win the lotto that 4.0 27 would go so so well with your run Brian! take out a loan A loan for 30 years??? sure. it will be like buying a home, but the 27 will be worth more than a house of equal value in 30 years

  19. Great story: I met up with a friend yesterday and he often hits up the local flea markets. Last March, a vendor had a stack of 13 comics laying in a box. In the box were eleven Batman books from the 60s, a VG/F Brave and the Bold #30, and (the prize of the bunch) a copy of Showcase #22. I didn't have a camera, but after flipping through it, I graded it 4.0. He paid a WHOPPING $13.00 for the stack Yep, folks, that's ONE DOLLAR for the Showcase 22!! The BB 30 is about a $300 book I think....what's current FMV on a 4.0 Showcase 22??? PS...on another day, he also picked up a Hulk 181 in GD for a mere 50 cents!
