    Goodman was in love with his Red Circle Pulps, so likely decided to use the Marvel Mystery title idea from his pulp empire.

    Yes, NJ printer was terrible for Marvel 1, so Goodman picked a publisher out of Buffalo, NY on Lord Street. Then around early 1940 (starting with Marvel Mystery 7 time frame), he moved publishers again to Meriden, CT which is where all the Timelys were printed up through the late 1940s (I believe).

    There was a time when the 35 price point was much stronger than the 33. That has clearly changed the last several years. Congrats to both the buyers and consignors 👌🏽

    The 2.5 Marvel 1 🔥 is sitting at $276k and ends tomorrow. Very strong so far considering a 4.5 just sold on HA two months ago for $360k. Not to mention the pay copy is also doing pretty well at $1.644 M 👀
