  1. there is so many cool books it's hard to focus on one era or artist or title or ect ect! I know how you feel. Throw me in with that group. Members post so many awesome covers I've never seen, that I say "I gotta get me one of those". After going throught my Photojournals again, I've discovered the great, violent crime covers. Another genre to spend my money on Angelo
  2. I guess I got a thing for pe-hero Bethlehems Angelo
  3. Some more pre-heroes And a Bethlehem Angelo
  4. Wow! That's stunning. Issues with the back cover, maybe? Angelo
  5. I didn't express an opinion, one way or the other, about my scans being used by GCD. I was just pointing out that it's the nature of the Internet for images/information to migrate around the web to different sites. I don't think that's always a bad thing, it's often beneficial to the public. However, I don't necessarily want to exhibit everything I own, so I've chosen to hold back on some images. That's all. I'd be happy to post more Eisner or Fine covers. Is there a checklist I can refer to that lists their work? I could especially use help in identifying examples from early in their careers. Eisner checklist: http://www.comics.org/search.lasso?type=penciller&query=eisner&sort=alpha&Submit=Search Lou Fine checklist: http://www.comics.org/search.lasso?type=...p;Submit=Search In case you're going to post some Spirit sections , here's a checklist with artist information: http://www.luckymojo.com/spiritchecklist.html Angelo
  6. Kudos to 143ksk and scheradon for a great VCC/post-VCC experience. Accurate grading, quick shipping, and good packaging form both Angelo
  7. Only one more pre-hero Marvel mummy cover left to go. Which one? I have TTA 31, but I still need a TTA 8. Those two and the JiM 61 are the only three pre-hero Marvel mummy covers that I know of. I got a TTA #7, but no #8. I'll be sure to be on the look out for you. Angelo
  8. Only one more pre-hero Marvel mummy cover left to go. Which one?
  9. Most of my pre-heroes are in mid-grade, including a copy of this one in 5.5, because they are the most affordable. But now, I'm starting to sway towards buying one high grade as opposed to three or four mid-grades. High grade pre-heroes are just so pleasing to behold. Angelo
  10. Huge kudos to october for making this transaction so easy. Fast payment and a joy to deal with. Glad you enjoyed the Spirit sections, Andy. Angelo
  11. Thanks to everyone for all the kind words. This is my first slabbed pre-hero pedigree comic, probably the first of many. I'm starting to understand why collectors prize pedigrees so much. Man, this can become addicting! Angelo
  12. Thanks, Nik. This was an very nice upgrade for me, and a pedigree to boot. Angelo
  13. That's an awesome cover! I've been on the look out for the Ditko one's, but I may have to include the entire run. (Sigh) More comics to spend money on. Angelo
  14. Let me know how you like it when you receive it. I most certainly will Angelo
  15. Sweet cover! I may need to get one of these, too. Angelo
  16. Now you have to complete the set by getting issue #2! Fantastic looking book is it not? It certainly is. Can't wait to get it in hand and read it. I might actually go for the entire run, all seven issues of it. Angelo
  17. After seeing this posted in another thread (by Paratrooper, I believe), I knew I had to get a copy. So, after missing out on some Kirby OA last night, I picked this up today: Angelo
