  1. Would anyone be able to show me an image of the Second Print notation on a TMNT #2? I have a copy that I bought as a 1st print, which I'd swear that I've checked printing on a half dozen times. It's pretty high grade - sent it to CGC (hoping for 9.4) and it just moved to Scheduled for Grading with a Second Print notation. Struggling with what to do
  2. I have about 12K books and have reached the point where I have more than I want. I am actively trying to reduce the number by up to 50%, focusing more on quality over quantity.
  3. I have a modern I'm considering sending in which should grade pretty high, but the staples are not straight - the bottom of each staple is curved (out and then in) in the exact same way, which makes me think it happened during manufacturing. If the book is otherwise a 9.8, would this affect the grade and by how much? There is no stress or tearing of the paper around the staples.
  4. I read it, as a big fan of the original Future Imperfect when it originally came out. I generally havent liked how they handled Maestro over the years, but I liked this book. Will definitely pick up another issue.
  5. I appreciate this, but I do not like the Information it contains.
  6. 26 Moderns Slow Boat - Recieved 7/2... Still waiting for CCS I assume:-/
  7. Looks like I need to make a trip out to the western part of the state
  8. Well, currently Apocolypse and Sinister are both hanging out on Krakoa with the X-Men. I don't know if they are X-Men, but they are definitely X-Men adjacent. Also, stemming from the current run, I'm going to stake my claim thusly: The X-Men's second greatest villain is... plants! seriously though its sentinels
  9. Mine was probably New Mutants 98 when I was 11. That and Amazing Spider-man 361 are the biggest books I owned as a kid. NM 98 got the first mylar I ever owned. I remember thinking just how cool Gideon was.
  10. I did have custom labels for some. I removed them and it didn't help. It's definitely not taking quantity into account. I ended up adding 3 additional books from my "maybe" pile.
  11. I'm working on submitting a number of books for quick press and modern grading and I'm running into an issue? The requirement for Quick Press says the submission must include at least 15 books, which mine certainly does, but I'm submitting multiple copies of some books. The total number of unique titles/issues is 11, but it's over 20 individual issues. I used the quantity field to indicate where I had multiples of books. Was that a mistake? I'd love some advice on the right way to do this.
  12. Just got this in from HA today. I think I overpaid a bit, but I think it presents really well for the grade so I'm happy with it.
  13. My understanding is that shipping Media Mail through USPS is not an acceptable way to ship comics. So, if I'm selling a lot of comics that contains between 20 and 100 issues, is there any way to reasonably ship them thats not going to cost a ton? For reference, I'm trying to ship a 15lb lot of books and it looks like whether I use USPS, Fed Ex or UPS, it's going to be about $70. I've gotten shipping 1-5 books down pretty well, but this confuses me. Thanks!
  14. FWIW, my 6 yr old will loudly proclaim miles to be his favorite spider-man. He's seen the MCU movies, but Into The Spiderverse is his favorite superhero movie by a fair margin. It's a small sample size, but you're going to have kids growing up for whom MM *is* Spider-man. Print run aside, I think the book has legs.
  15. I just got a low grade 14 off Heritage. It went for lower than I expected. I hope it does see growth this year.
  16. Just got this from a boardie. My 1st early villain key. I am now down to 102 books needed to complete my ASM run. Gonna try and add at least 1 more low number this year!
  17. Thanks to GACollectibles! This came in the mail today: Crappy iPhone pics - my new scanner is worse with slabs than my old one.
  18. Fixed that for ya (thumbs u Found about 7 of these in my $3 bins that I prep for conventions. Almost everyone is near mint. So yeah, I would say $3 book. I'd been looking for this book for the last two years in cheap boxes. Now I'm kicking myself that I didn't look harder.
  19. Office depot has it too. That's where mine came from. The metal shelving that is...
  20. Unfortunately it is homemade. I debated whether or not to even bring it to the new house. It's bigger than it needs to be and I think I've decided I'd rather have everything in shortboxes, which fit AWESOME on that metal shelving in the other picture. I've seen other folks in this thread use the same shelving and I'm tempted to move to only that. Of course, that will happen when I get the same unexpected windfall of cash that will let me put everything into mylars and finish switching to plastic from cardboard boxes.
  21. Finally got all my boxes situated in our new place and sorted. Nothing fancy yet, but I have most everything in it's place.
