  1. I would go for the quick. It is cheaper. According to them it gives you the same removal of the defects as the regular press. So after the removal of the defects why would I want it to go through the process again? 😁
  2. You can contact grading company see what they are willing to do for you. Or take great photos so it is clearly shown and eventually someone who buys the grade on the label will come along and be thrilled to have it.
  3. Someone in newb forum has the same problem most likely.
  4. Most people will with agree with you. I have plenty of spec books still but I don't think returns are going to be as good as the last decades. Not even remotely close. Now if you are talking about ff 1-5 or 48 49, x-MEN 1 giant size asm 14 15 I already sold those so that's what I think about them as investment books.
  5. I invested in comics for 10 years or so. 2 years ago I pretty much stopped investing for any real profit. If you are just starting now you are too late imo. From 2008 to 2012 it was easy. Nick Fury told you the avengers were coming and you seen what tales 39 did. Go stockpile 1st appearances of avengers members. Wow people will pay for villains, what villains are likely to show up. Who else can show up on arrow flash. What other street level heroes could get a Netflix show. It still works that way, and can still be done. Problem is all the A and B, most the C list characters are used up. Most of the remaining ones are already speced on. And good luck guessing who comes next. You make real money on a silver age hero. Other problem is so many speculators now. You could go buy a blue chip key and hope it gains value every few years. I don't feel great about that for an investment. You can buy pretty much any marvel 1st Appearance the day it comes out and sell it for $15. Sometimes more. Personally if I was forced to spend 5 grand on comics I would hit the dollar bin and buy 5000 books. Lame 1st Appearances and cover art from someone who could be the next big thing. Every month you will have a few books that you paid a buck and can sell for $15 to $30 I had more but got distracted.
  6. He is a God and can do whatever he wants. Old thor came down from his position above us in asgard to lay the hammer down upon someone lowly minion who posted here 2 years ago. Now we all wait to be graced with his presence again whenever that day may come.
  7. ricanna-99 Full disclosure I declined their offers and never gave them a chance to pay. Because I used a lil trick I learned in the ebay seller retirement home called checking feedback before accepting a offer. Didn't think my chances of getting paid were too good. Left them a smart as message and they didn't even try to defend themselves.
  8. Wives totally want to spend $ buying more comic books for their husbands. They find comic books so interesting they even know what their husbands collect.
  9. I don't blame the bidder. I wouldn't of read all that.
  10. Nah. I doubt they care if it is fragile or not. Well I usually just toss packages because it easier then carrying them over, oh wait this one is fragile, I will be careful with it.
  11. Fell off or got folded? I don't know what is possible. Most my slabs the inner well or book moves around. I secure my slabs during shipping so the don't move at all. Inner well can still move though. It's a rare thing though because I have owned thousands of slabs and never had the staple tears of shaken syndrome.
  12. What are the ebay user names of the 2 buyers so I can block them. Don't like dealing with picky people, especially the newton rings buyer.
  13. Things are slowing down. Was having 2 things hit every day. Now we gotta wait 2 or 3 days for something to heat up.
  14. If they knew how to switch books out undetectable they would probably being doing it with more expensive books. If you have a good memory or took good pics you can compare and see if it the same book. Most 9.8s have some spine tics or wear even if tiny and don't break color. Look at bindery tears fuzz. Inner well seal.
  15. Only part of the movie I enjoy. Thought movie was boring, slow paced, huge let down from dark knight. Good to see once and I was good. I do love doing my bane voice though for anyone who will listen.
  16. I know nothing of those books but judging by your max bid vs winning bid, you might have to settle for some 9.2s At least 2 guys out there that like the aardvark more than you do.
  17. GPA is either off or you bought something that isnt a hot key. Or you are pleased with 10 or 15 percent off gpa. I didn't notice any great deals but lots of books I have no idea what the value is.
  18. It is really easy. You just have to go somewhere that nobody but you knows anything about comic books.
  19. You guys are nice. I might not have put them back as carefully as I picked them out. And for sure, no matter what I would of won those auctions.
  20. I go to a shop once a year to grab all the free comic day books. That owner likes to look up the going rate online, that's how he prices his books. I take him up a freaking huge stack of books to price that I have absolutely zero interest in buying while I talk to a acquaintance that works there. Keep waiting for the day to come that the owner catches on but it never happens. If I wanted to pay Ebay prices I would just buy it on ebay.
  21. Agree. Besides that it's all trash after 1987. Side note, somebody should totally take that alien and make him black and he could be a Spider-man villain or something.
  22. I don't bid until 2 seconds left or less. I have something called pen and paper for a watch list. Or alarm clock. I do know one thing from watching auctions past few nights. If you put it in a slab people will bid on it.
  23. All valiant points man. I don't see anything fishy. Someone listed a book and 2 fools came along and bid on it. If it was shill bidding then good. Should of ran it up higher. I love shill bidding. Takes $ away from my buying competition and if the bidders ever realize what is being done to them, maybe they will give up auctions and come buy my over priced buy it nows.
  24. I did that tonight. Pretty much skipped the entire night. I jumped ahead 10 pages and it was still amazing Spider-man. Just auction burn out. I looked at almost every single book the entire auction until tonight. I browse right through the disney and archie. I seen them but very quickly. Don't spend much time with war or romance. I am curious though, like to try to see grade and price as I fly by. Keep thinking I will see a deal on something to flip but not sure if that is possible on clink. Plan now is to get a plan for next auction. I am making a alphabetized list of target books and focusing on them mostly.
