  1. Looks like it's been hot for 2 months at least. But I heard it here from doom 1st. Apologies if anyone posted it sooner, I either didn't see it or forgot.
  2. Encapsulated I would say. Don't see book getting a 9.4 like that. Contact them. Hopefully they should pay for shipping, press it if needed and slab it. If it is no longer a 9.4 compensate you for value lost. They should make it right from stories I heard.
  3. I would get it now. No doubt it will go from $350 to $700 or $800 with that video game coming out.
  4. Marvel dominates the silver and bronze age. Not sure if anything exciting emerged in last 17 years. If anything some of their books are less collectible. I will look at the list see what I can add. I always though bronze age went to 1984, ebay still uses 1983 so you can add some by doing this dc 26 teen titans 1 and 2 come to mind. But for 1970s I got nothing.
  5. 9.6 from what I can actually see. Not good photos imo.
  6. I am not sure I would call $350 to $450 better than $350 to $1200 If you are talking about the newstand then maybe. Although I did see a miles newstand went for a grand raw. I don't think most people have caught on or there aren't many of them.
  7. Personally I would finance it and get it now. I do this all the time. 0% interest credit cards or paypal credit. Gives me a year to move $ around or sell off assets to pay for book. Something will happen with some of my stocks that will make me want to cash out. Huge books will use credit union. Not a popular strategy for most people yet they will finance boats cars bikes that are guaranteed to lose $. Buy a car for 40 grand and in 5 years its 10 if you are lucky. I don't think af is a good investment but you do so the gains will destroy any interest rate on your loan so it's a no brainer right.
  8. I would get both now. You never know if some virus or something will come along.
  9. I sold some last month as well. For $200 and I regret it.
  10. Glad you are happy. I never used them so I couldn't say one way or the other. Just seen a decent amount of unhappy customers. Some other pressers I never seen any unhappy customers. Maybe one day I will do a shootout and send some books to all the know pressers. Or check youtube, someone probably has done that already.
  11. Oh no. As a collector I don't sell to fund new additions. Only time I sell is if it isn't anything I want to keep or its peaked in value and I will pick it up again when I find it for a discount or if it's a one and done character after the movie.
  12. What's up with that white area next to big Al? Book looks like a nice 4.5 but if that is moisture damage deadpool is dead on.
  13. Tuff one for me. I am not a low grade expert by any means, never slabbed them and rarely buy any. The 2.5 would be the max. It's at worst an absolute amazing looking 1 and a 2 wouldn't surprise me at all because the book looks good. Those 2 defects are major grade killers and that chunk is borderline total grade killer. I know cgc loves that 1.8 for detached and taped covers but some other times too so this is my chance to use it and I am 1.8
  14. 4 and clean for sure. No need to slab for selling but for own collection do what you want.
  15. By next year people will be saying same thing but the other way around. I like miles better but all I can afford is Peter so will have to settle for af15.
  16. This one is weak because it has to be a cgc 9.8. But new mutants annual 2 is selling for over $500. Seen one on FB go and was like ok. But one went on Ebay tonight with 3 people willing to pay over 500.
  17. Just the if you buy a ultimate fallout 4 today it will double in value in a month.
  18. Willing to hear a 3rd option or this topic old news? I am always late to the party.
  19. Maybe it was there when they graded it but with the brittle pages just turned to dust during shipping?
  20. All these books are bloated. I had the 3 marvel books and sold every copy. For investment only you can find better options. I wouldn't be thinking comics for investment and certainly not these ones. But the best one imo is ff4. But all 3 marvels are good if you like tying your $ up for years while only getting small returns on it. When movies come out you will make a lil $ but nothing compared to what you could have in other investment areas.
  21. I sell what people are buying. Buy what isn't in demand. Buy low sell high. I want homeruns, not steady growth. Treat everything in life that way. I love comics. Collected them because I enjoyed it. Never looked at them as an investment, more like a savings account or cd, they kept up with inflation. When prices jumped up in 2012 I had to start looking at them as assets. A lot of these books doubled in 2018, are they going to double again when movie comes out? I dunno, I don't think so but the comic market surprises me. I sure as heck wasn't speculating on guardians of the galaxy. Didn't see the covid effect coming. Is stark and Rodgers gone for good? If they do come back will their books drastically go up? I love comics, just some have peaked as far as investment return. At this point in my life I enjoy the wheeling and dealing more than admiring my portfolio or collection.
