I read a quote yesterday by James Gunn regarding the casting of the lead. Something along the lines of, "It's gotta be someone who has all of the kindness of Superman. Someone you would want to hug."

Did he forget that he's casting an actor to play a role? This guys loves the smells of his own farts, for sure.

How long until Gunn just announces he'll be playing Superman?  It will be based on his life....

it was a very horribly written concept:

Because of a pheromone he has she is unable to attack him. Yeah: she can't attack him because of the way he smells, so once she figures out the reason why she can't hit him she hits her own head on the desk breaking her nose and then she can kick his rear.

Totally ridiculous and not one person sitting in the writing room raised their hand and said it was dumb.

Damn sounds like I missed out on a masterpiece

Hollywood director James Gunn’s relationship is over with Disney.  Disney announced the decision before he was scheduled to appear at San Diego Comic Con.  “The offensive attitudes and statements discovered on James’ Twitter feed are indefensible and inconsistent with our studio’s values, and we have severed our business relationship with him,” Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn said in a statement.

One particular tweet read:  “I remember my first NAMBLA meeting. It was the first time I felt o.k being who I am. Some of those guys are still my BFF’s.” (April 4, 2009)  He later tweeted:  “I like it when little boys touch me in my silly place. Shhh!” (April 5, 2009)

He went on to compose a new thread of tweets explaining that at the beginning of his career he viewed himself as a “provocateur,” making movies and telling jokes that were “outrageous and taboo” and that he has “developed as a person” since then.

Director James Gunn has been rehired to direct Guardians of the Galaxy 3 after he was fired by Disney over decade-old tweets that joked about rape and abuse.  It comes after famous cast members from the Marvel series signed an open letter pleading for Gunn's return.  In a tweet he thanked Disney and his supporters and said he is "excited to continue making films that investigate the ties of love that bind us all".

That July 2018 quote is horrible.  In no way funny.

I don't watch it these days, but I have caught some of the documentaries and enjoyed them.

Hard to decide what my favorite moment was...I teeter back and forth between when Hogan turned heel (shocking) and when Stone Cold attacked McMahon in the hospital (hilarious).

I use to be obsessed with wrestling when I was younger and now I don't even watch.  I have too many favorite moments to decide between one.  I will say my favorite wrestlers were Kane and HBK.  I to am a sexy boy.

I was fortunate and lucky enough to have been invited to see a special screening of this movie last night at Warner Bros Studio. I had high expectations that this movie will be great, fun and a huge success. Well guess what, it met all those expectations! I think this movie is probably a top 3 DC movie of all time. From the time the movie started until it ended, I just had a huge smile on my face! It hit every single emotion in my body. It was action packed, great storyline introducing the multiverse DC style, had a lot of humor and funny moments which were well done and not corny at all, and had a big moment for me towards the end where I almost teared up. A few people I saw in the theater were likely tearing up a bit judging by how they had their finger on their face wiping it down. It's something everyone can relate to really.

Oh and Michael Keaton as Batman! He did an amazing job reprising his role and had some nostalgic lines from his original Batman movies. He actually had a lot of screen time than I expected which was a huge plus. I just loved all his scenes and really took me back to those original 90s Batman movie: the song, the way he moved, etc. Affleck didn't really have much at all!

I was worried with everything that is happening in the movie that it would be too much to show all at once, but I was wrong. Everything flowed very well and I felt nothing was rushed.

As a bonus, the directors (Andy and Barbara, brother and sister) of the movie were sitting with us in the audience watching the movie and took a Q&A session. This was Andy's first time directing a superhero movie because his experience was more with horror flicks. They talked about the movie of course, also about Keaton and how they took him out to dinner and how he was just wearing a shirt and jogging pants as he jogged to the table when he approached them and then after dinner, jogged away with the ---script in his armpit and a huge smile on his face. Andy mentioned that his son now can appreciate seeing his dad in a Batman suit as an adult because he was only a baby when Keaton was in the Batman movies. Another thing too was that the Batcave in the movie was actually designed in a very large studio, i believe only the waterfall was CGI, but everything else was all made. He said that when Keaton was in his batsuit he wanted some time to soak it all in again and he asked Andy if he can take a picture of him in all his glory as Batman for his grandson.

Alot of info here I know. But the directors also talked about Flash's powers and how they had to leave some of them behind. The original movie was 4 hours long and it was cut to what it is now, some scenes during the pre screen needed some editing, but the final film will have some added scenes not shown in this preview.  I don't wanna give it away but there was one scene in particular at the very end I'm eager to see if they reveal something. Certainly a fun ride!!

They talked a bit about Ezra and his mental illness. They said he is doing fine and getting the therapy sessions he needed to be back in the big screen in the future, hopefully. His performance in the movie was excellent! Literally playing two different types of characters at the same time and having the dialogue lines between himself and others was just amazing! He really put his heart into this movie. The directors were saying that they had a lot of re-takes for scenes in the movie. Ezra wanted more they said because he wanted things to be perfect!

After the movie was done, food and drinks were served. Boy there was a lot to eat!! Pizza, hamburger sliders, salad, foods that were mostly seen in thr movie they were serving to us, donut holes, beer, soda, and even an indoor plant we can take home with the wooden plant vase designed with superhero themed art. Overall I had a very memorable experience and I will certainly look forward to seeing the film again on June 16!

We were told not to post anything until after 7:30 pm today so here it is.

I don't understand how the "Kang" dude (Jonathan Majors) is getting cancelled left and right and dropped from projects for "allegedly" smacking his G/F (which she has recanted from what I can tell), yet this guy who is on film numerous times assaulting women, and holding a family hostage is getting a free pass from Hollywood and the media.  Is it because he wears a dress?

Check your pronouns he goes by crazy right now. Seriously no way DC keeps him after this movie, bring me Wally please....

Okay, well regardless of the chronology of my post before or after. your post or whether or not I read your post, I'm telling you I made MY post with only the Majors girlfriend altercation in mind. Even then, the multiple women coming out is still hearsay at this point, reliable hearsay, but still hearsay. Disney can still sit this out until the last minute. The process is still playing itself out and doesn't yet equate to Anthony Rapp accusing Kevin Spacey of sexual assault when Rapp was a minor.

Talk about the worst time to come out....

Oddly enough, I've been watching Youtube interviews with the big wrestlers of the past. And it is very entertaining when they share the reverence for Andre the Giant's demanded respect in the ring, all the behind-the-scenes drama (rumors of Macho Man sleeping with someone legal-age daughter), and how Ultimate Warrior was treated as an outsider for a long time.

I first heard of that a couple of years ago.  I believe there's something that happened for Vince not to sign Macho Man again.
