I think this is more of the same Loki death schema. Deaths to grab the emotional purse strings. I think so.

The big difference between this and Infinity War is no one will really care about the character deaths in this. You've introduced multiverse so they could always come back and I'm sure no one is really going to be that sad for Falccap....

  2. Spoilers....

I saw this yesterday and thought it was ok.  I've really enjoyed the Ant Man movies especially the daddy daughter connection and in this one the daughter was pretty horrible to Scott.  Early on I was really put off Casey and was confused if we were supposed to actually like her (constantly belittled him, accused him of things, acted like he was dumb, etc.).  Majors did awesome as Kang and in my opinion the strongest part of the movie.  I would've really enjoyed having Scott's side characters back and thought the movie was hurt by not having them especially Luis.  Overall I'll give it a 5/10.

And this is where I think Gunn is making a mistake. Instead of trying to tie the existing movies, he's decided to start all over again. I really don't think it's going to work. I just think it's a bad path with the properties he's bring on.

As someone noted in the Black Panther thread. Focus on your A list properties. He's not.

We should have 2 Batman family movies.  It's crazy we haven't had a proper Robin origin film and a Under the Red Hood film yet.

Since the plan and details is not going to make its way out until next week on DC Studios, so much coming out is rumors and click pieces.

But on the story where Jenkins refused the rewrite the --script she had been working on - including sending a definition of 'character arc' to one of the co-CEOs - seems to the be the latest story floating around.

I'm hoping this was cancelled as long as Patty Jenkins is attached.  WW 1984 was HORRIBLE.

I think that The Flash TV show sucks, and there's no way in Hel you could convince me to ignore the show and pretend that he's a different Flash for the DCEU. You also can't convince me that the show would be good backstory for DCEU's Flash. If Miller is going to be recast, it cannot be Gustin.

It annoys me that they just didn't replace Barry with Wally. That is the simplest way to recast the Flash.

Are there actually any hard facts about the FF movie?

All I see are different actors, directors, writers and time-era's.

If they want to avoid another disaster, then cast the actors, choose a writer and director, nail the premise of the movie, then film it.

Just seems like they are throwing stuff out there and waiting for feedback.

Personally - I'd like a non Dr Doom movie.

Surely with Namour appearing in BP 2 then it would be sensible to crossover to the FF movie and add Kang to tie in the new Avengers castings and set up the Kang + Namour V Avengers + FF double movie finish like they did with Thanos.

It worked, so stick to tried and trusted IMHO (without the damn comedy - keep that within the Thor movies please!)

    2c

I actually never thought about a non Dr. Doom movie but it could work and they just introduce him at the end.

Doom Patrol and The Boys. Destroying every Marvel TV show today. Once upon a time there was Punisher and Daredevil but then the rights reverted to Disney.

I loved the Punisher show, I was so disappointed it was cancelled. Jon Bernthal won me over ( I originally wanted Thomas Jane back).

I just started Season 3 and am enjoying it immensely. While different from the comic, it is fairly faithful.

Perhaps I missed it, but how is it Grayson was sent to prison under his own name, escaped and is now back on the force? Did eveyone just give Garth a pass for killing the researchers?  Superboy puts dozens of cops in the hospital and everyone just shrugs it off?

No clue about Grayson in prison but as a HARDCORE Nightwing fan I gave up on this show 2 seasons ago.  I just needed it to be decent and this was CW bad.

Agreed. It was a weak movie that dragged on too long.

I am going to go to BP 2 with my usual comic collecting friends so hopefully it is not as bad as I am worried it will be. My plan is to go in with extremely lowered expectations so it has nowhere to go but up.

I really enjoy Black Panther the character but the movie I wasn't a fan of.  I thought Black Panther was the most likable during Captain America Civil War (he actually had character growth and it showed how wise he really was).  The BP movie was more about Wakanda than BP and it suffered as a result.  Now I don't get to see T"Challa any longer so it sucks.....
