  1. sent a PM. If the seller sells me the book theres $100 in it for you. Not bad for just knowing the guy who has the book.
  2. God, I hope his price isn't a horrifying night of hot, scandalous, monkey love with a comic-collecting hermaphrodite. Greggy's all booked up this week. See? Didn't take the easy shot that time. Its business time here Khaos...no time to play, not even with the lumpy one (Greggy).
  3. everythings for sale. Ask the lad if he would like to sell it and to name his price. Thanks
  4. PM me if youd like to make a nice finders fee.
  5. 9.6 averages only about 50 bucks. A 9.8 goes for around $200.
  6. Looks like it sold. They dont last long at the 225-275 range.
  7. Still, its a decent copy. I think a 9.8 copy of 21 would have to be PRISTINE to even be considered.
  8. That copy of #1 wouldnt come back any higher than a 9.2. TRUST ME. I know these books like the back of my hand. That 21 does look like it should have been a 9.4 but you are correct...If there is ONE, spine stress of any kind, even if it doesnt break color and the rest of the book is perfect...BAM, 9.6. I dont think they want a 9.8. I think theyre doing it to spite me.
  9. Back to the topic at hand. Looks like we may have 3 friggin copies of Joe 21 in 9.6. Bill seems positive after looking at the book several times that it would get a 9.6 (our best copy. We have a 9.6 on the way back from cgc and 2 other copies that are probably 9.6s. Were slightly discouraged, and Im thinking about giving up after 5 years of looking. Theres been an x-men 94 and an ASM 129 found in 9.8 but NO Joe 21?? Whats next, an MS #5 or dare I say a HOS 92? Im sure there are more of a few of you out there who have been searching for a long time for that "special" book but havent found it yet. Heres a good chance to feel someone elses pain and know that you are not alone in your struggle. Maybe we could start up a task force to stalk down these elusive books?
  10. It's really not that surprising when you take into consideration various factors such as the reputation of the dealer, the age of the label, the page quality, and the fact that most G.I. Joe collectors (like Dung) are inbred troglodytes who would be equally entertained eating their own toenails as reading a comic book. Count on Khaos to correct your grammar and come up with a zinger here and there. Other than that, he's kind of useless. Say, speaking of Zingers and other spongy, cream-filled phalluses, does yours still work, Buffalo Bob? Or do you just tuck it back between your legs when you dance in front of the mirror? Seriously, do you write your own material? You are certainly no longer Greggy's lap dog. Youve graduated to big boy status.
  11. plausibly so. in the "one on one" sort of sense. who's gonna stop her? maybe Dr. Strange? the one real limitation as i see it is that she has to be physically present to use her power. she can't attack someone in Ohio, for instance. so she would be fighting a defensive battle after the first couple of surprise attacks...which would not be a great thing. plus, she gets tired. so i doubt she could hold the title for very long before being usurped This is true. She would always have to be present and possibly in danger to use her powers unlike Magneto who could grab a satellite or what ever to drop on ya. Also her physical stamina would come into play as far as her concentration. But as a one on one fighter, she'd kick pretty much anyone's tail if written to her fullest potential. You are ALL wrong!!! You forgot the man with no legs. the man who can kill all mutants and control their minds...Professor X.

  13. A few....perhaps even a #21..... Forgot about that one! PM me if you really do have any of these especially 1-30 in a 9.8 worthy grade! Sure, Ill take as many 21s as you have! I will take a look at them tomorrow with him. I know a have seen a bunch of really nice copies. Any word on those Joes?
  14. There IS no top level for Hulk since his strength is tied to his anger/rage. The madder he gets the stronger he gets so there's no way to say where his power level stops. Now, I'd agree with you that Big G would stop Hulk on any given Sunday in a regular book, but throw them into a MAX book and have Big G cut off Betty's head in front of Hulk and I bet Hulk could take him. Also, there was an issue of Fantastic Four where the Invisible Woman took out Galactus by herself by stabbing him with a really big invisible spear. I think it was her "Malice" persona or just after. As far as the FF are concerned Sue is the most powerful hands down. well, duh. she might be the most underrated - in terms of sheer power - in the entire MU Excuse my ignorance, but why the invisible woman? Because she can make her force shields into any shape and size she can imagine as well as make them as solid or thin as she wants. Basically, think of her as having GL's powers without the ring or the yellow problem. Yeah, the Thing is physically stronger, but she can put him in a force box and squeeze him to death or put invisible plugs in his nose and mouth until he suffocates. Same with Johnny and Reed. Her powers just have much more versatility and potential than any of the others. why not just stick her force shield into his lungs and push all the air out? or make a micro-thin blade and lop his head off? or put a giant column underneath him and push him up into space and then dissolve it? the only people who could stop her would be telepaths, the invulnerable, and those who don't need to breathe. and i'm not so sure about those last two Well, yep, she could do any of those as well. Was just thinking of an example off the top of the head. Yep, she could be pretty devastating if they really wanted to write her that way. I don't think any writer has ever sat down to truly consider her power potential. I think really the only ones that could touch her on the human scale would be the telepaths. Just like GL she has to concentrate to make her powers work so if they messed with her mind then she'd be helpless. sorry if my post came off as brusque, not my intention at all, just adding to the myriad ways Sue could kick 99% of the MU's arsch GIRL POWER!!!
  15. If there are ANY stress marks whatsoever, 86 it. CGC is so ruthless on the spine its amazing. Ill trust your grading skills. Odds are there may only be 1 or 2 out of a pile of comics. PM me when you know and thanks!

  17. Theyre going up up up in demand and price. A copy with better QP would sell for over $300 now in my opinion. Thats a lot of cash for a "common modern."

  20. I am sure he does. He has all the good moderns! Theres only 1 copy of 155 in a 9.8. Must have it...
