  1. I agree charging a percent extra for paypal is fine. However, it does need to be stated upfront and not at the end of the deal once all other terms have been agreed to by everyone involved. The seller may as well have said, "I'm going to charge you $5 more because I don't like unicorns."
  2. I will never pay for another board transaction using the personal method. There are a few close friends that I use it with as we are pretty much just swapping money back and forth. However, to pay using the personal method for a book from someone you do not have a personal relationship with is stupid. Furthermore, threatening a percentage up charge if you do not use PP personal after a sales price is agreed upon is the next thing to extortion. I'd tell them to keep their damn book. They won't have to worry about any fees now. (thumbs u
  3. Welcome to my Winter 2009. You are out of your comfort zone over here. Anywhere on this board is my comfort zone, n00b.
  4. I wish I could take credit for it, but I was not the person who found the hidden picture. It was Davenport.
  5. And if he used his "junk" to pose for that sketch, he needs to get that ring removed before an infection develops. Either that, or put it in his nose as whether it is down there or up on his face, he's proven to be a prig overall - so what's the difference? My question is how big is that that the condom looks that tiny on it. Easy there, boy. You're starting to sound interested.
  6. I believe the title of piece is "Dickhead." It has a torso, two arms and it's head is in fact just that... a glans with a Prince Albert hanging off the end.
  7. great idea actually That really is! List it with his name big and repeated and leave it up for months. It could eventually become a major embarrassment for him. I am going to do it. Jim, that is an incredibly awesome idea. Roger, I know what you mean by repeating it over and over in the listing, with a large font and all. I am so angry after seeing what the sketch truly is. It is blatant and completely offensive. And for some reason, it really hurts my feelings in a way. I showed the damned thing to my children when I got home Sunday. I am not going to post anything that could be constured as a threat on the internet, but I think a lot of you know how this might proceed. I have a degree in vindictiveness. It isn't often I get to use it in front of other people.
  8. Now that's a sketch Junk. Literally. What are the odds Bill was just dickin' with someone? Ok...now I am completely po'ed. I do not and did not deserve to be treated this way. It is pretty apparent what he meant towards me by this sketch. What recourse do I have? Auction it off on eBay... rant style and with a reserve high enough that no one will buy and keep relisting it.
  9. Shill account to avoid the possible strike, I'm sure.
  10. It's nothing to do with post counts, but how stupid you make yourself look. I wasn't stupid when I got mine.
  11. Sure, he could be. But it bothers me when supa states unequivocally that Ewert is consigning books to CL. How does he know that? i think my reputation speaks for itself? What reputation? This: Most of your posts contain . If you know so much about everything, enlighten us unworthy peasants. Do you manscape?
  12. Sure, he could be. But it bothers me when supa states unequivocally that Ewert is consigning books to CL. How does he know that? i think my reputation speaks for itself? Why not just back up your claim with some solid evidence? Exactly, I think knowing the alias of a known trimmer still conducting business and not disclosing that information is the same as aiding and abetting.
  13. Ewert could be selling through any consignment site. He could be using a business name or consigning under someone else's account. I'm sure it isn't difficult.
  14. That addresses that one book. It doesn't address the question of whether or not Jason Ewert still sells books via ComicLink.
  15. We talked about Jason selling on comiclink back in January.
  16. Not any that I'm familiar with as far as recognized pedigrees.
  17. If I had an SS book I wanted to read (I know. Just suspend your disbelief for a moment, okay.) I would have it cracked out by a CGC employee at the booth such as; Gemma, Bill (when he was there) or Joe. I would have to read the book at the booth and then resubmit it for Signature Series grading. It would still retain the yellow label. Not the best of scenarios convenience wise, but it does provide the opportunity to read, feel or smell a book that most believe to be forever off limits. Are you laughing while typing this Watson ? Who's really gonna do this Possible, yes. Ridiculous, very. Someone who wants to read an SS book and keep the SS designation. If you want the book just to crack and read, then you have no business buying an SS copy.

  19. The book can easily be cracked out, enjoyed and then re-certified with the yellow label, as long as it is front of a CGC employee or authorized witness. Furthermore, I love it when someone refers to a slabbed book as a plastic tomb when it's something they disagree with, but when it benefits them with a pile of cash from a 9.6 or 9.8 label they are mysteriously silent. I actually didn't know that. Does the cracking have to be done in front of an employee, along with the re-certification? What's the guarantee that the reslabbed book is the same as the one that was originally broken out? As for my CGC comment, I was talking about a golden age pedigree, not a 9.6 bronze book with 100 books in the census. When it comes to Church copies, it is indeed a "tomb". Tell you what, the day you see me sell a slabbed Church you can point out my hypocrisy. Don't hold your breath. Yes, the cracking out has to be done by a CGC employee in order for it to be re-certified as an SS book. I guess the same guarantee that the signed book that was turned in at the convention is the same signed book that shows up on your doorstep months later. And don't take that comment to heart. It wasn't meant for you... exactly. My point is still the same. With CGC it's either symphony or damned, depending on the tune one decides to hum at the any given moment.
