  1. Here are a few more to discuss. I tried to stay away from the variants. Total Eclipse (Image) – Miracleman Sonic the Hedgehog Sega Promo & 1/4 - 1st Sonic the Hedgehog Simpsons Illustrated #1 – 1st app. of The Simpsons Poison Elves (Mulehide Graphics) Cavewoman (Basement Comics) Ghost Rider #93 - Last issue Superman Adventures #21 (Supergirl) Swamp Thing #171 - Last issue Diamond Previews TPB’s (Spawn, Unity, Vampirella, Terminator, etc.)
  2. I have never been able to find the print run for THB. I am curious to know myself. I know that THB 69 had limited distribution and THB: Comics from Mars #1 had a print run of 2000.
  3. Save THB for when the 90's version of thread is up in the modern section. This is a good one.
  4. What would you say if I told you the Marvel was complete, and I'm a couple of books from a complete DC as well...? Plus all of Eclipse, Paciic, First, Mirage, Eternity, Aircel, Caliber, and Epic? Wow. I couldn't even fathom the number of comics that would be. Kudos to you because I know that must have taken a decade or more to a mass such a collection.
  5. Me too. Other than the adult books, there are two books that I didn't even know existed....and now that I do I can start looking for them (Did I ever tell the board that one of my collecting goals is to have one of every single comic printed from Jan 1980 to Dec 1989...?) I've been pondering both a 60's and 90's thread...the 60's actually should be really, really fun, because I know there are some super scarce rarities, but the vast, vast majority of everything printed is common. And for the 90's, should I put it here? The Modern category doesn't really discuss things like this. I think the Modern folks only like to talk about stuff that is brand new, for the most part. Forget about the 60's thread as it will turn out like the 70's thread. No one will want to give away their secrets. The 90's thread should be in the modern category but include the last decade to make it interesting to the modern collectors. Collecting all comics from Jan 1980 to Dec 1989 is a monumental task. Good luck because you are going to need it.
  6. I wish. This is the only one I have.
  7. I absolutely love this thread. I can wait to start researching and searching for some of these hidden gems. RMA when are going to start "The Absolute Hardest to Find 90's Books" thread?
  8. Ridiculously tough series for some reason. I have a few 9.8 candidates, but they'll probably go to CGC at some point. (thumbs u If you do ever send them in (to CGC) and get any 9.8's back (that you're willing to part with), let me know. Minimal submissions and even less 9.8's on the entire series. Guide value of #2-17 is $4/ea; so you can pull these out of $1 boxes. I'm putting up a standing offer (until I cancel it) of $60 per issue of Spider-Ham #2-17 in CGC 9.8. I'll pay shipping costs from you to me (so I pay you $60 + shipping from you to me). Once I get an issue in 9.8, that book is closed. I'm trying to put together a 9.8 run of the series for my personal collection. As an added aside, I will put my personal/board/human rep on the line, I am not trying to buy these books for a flip. If I buy a CGC 9.8 PPTSSPH from you (for $60 + shipping from you to me), this book will reside in my personal collection for 5 years minimum before the book would ever change hands or be available. If you ever see the book change hands, change serial numbers, up for sale, etc...I'll give you another $60 for each book. No BS. Let me know if you can help me out. Man, now that sounds like some seriously pent up demand. Bring it. I'm dead serious.
  9. Its tough, but not impossible. The hard part about finding Omaha books is that because of the explicit sexuality in them, nobody carries them around anymore, so there's no demand, blah blah blah. Spot on.
  10. There was a limited print run version with a 2-page poster and sketch. I forget if you had to mail in for it or not, but I believe it was advertised in the regular issue. It is also signed and numbered. Limited to 500 copies.
  11. I should be getting these back very soon. Nothing you guys haven't seen before. Just wanted to share. Turtlemania #1 CGC 9.6 TMNT #2 CGC 9.8 (2nd print)
  12. The only 9.8 on census? There are 2 9.8's on the census with no other copies graded. I own both copies.
  13. I think it is time to revive this thread. Once again, here is something new. Crusade of Comics: Spawn #1 CGC 9.8 - This mini-comic was released inside two promotional VHS tapes at the August 1992 San Diego Comic Convention. VHS tapes are "Todd McFarlane's Comic Book 'Facts & Illusions'" and "Todd McFarlane's Lotus".
  14. I forgot about Northstar #1. That is a hard comic to find.
  15. Here are few more to keep this thread moving along. Thorn: Tales From the Lantern Graphique Musique DC TPB’s (Time Warner Editions) Graphitti Designs Hardcovers & TPBs Portfolios
  16. Speaking of Omaha you'd be amiss not to mention this rarity: I thought this preview didn't exist. Thanks for showing it.
  17. This is turning out to be a great thread. Here are a few more hard to find items. Dead Air (GN) Silverwolf Comics and Ashcans Graphique Musique Bizzare Sex #9 Omaha Cat Dancer Rust #12 – 1st Terminator Blip #1 – 1st Mario Bros. & Donkey Kong Love and Rockets #1 (1st Print) Ninja High School #1-3
  18. I still don't have any of those previews. I might have to start tracking those down before you guys grap all the nice copies.
  19. I have never heard or seen this comic before. I really like the cover.
  20. Fantastic! What did you pay for them? By the way...in most Eclipse books from 1986-1989, they list the 3D/2Ds for sale for the whopping price of $5. Crazy, huh? $10 each.
  21. The preview comics from the 1980's are hard to find but even harder to find any information on. Great book RMA.
  22. I bought a few of 3D-2D versions from ND Comics in early May. It is a hidden gem that most copper age collectors don't know about. Most assume that Miracleman was the only 3D-2D version produced by Eclipse. As you can see below that is not the case. All are signed and numbered. TOR 1 COMIC 3D 2D DNAGENTS 1 COMIC 3D 2D LASER ERASER PRESSBUTTON 3D 2D BLACK BELT HAMSTERS 2 3D 2D BLACK BELT HAMSTERS 3 3D 2D BLACK BELT HAMSTERS 4 3D 2D NEW WAVE VS VOLUNTEERS 3D 2D NEW WAVE VS VOLUNTEERS 3D 2D It took months of research and years to finally obtain these copies.
