Hi this is my first time sending off comics to you guys. I tracked my shipment and it has been sitting at your PO box for a week. Im just curious to how often you guys pick that stuff up?

Hi there, we have our own post office in our headquarters so it's here it just hasn't hit our receiving team yet. We are bit backed up right now but you should see it change to "received" within the next couple days.

Can anyone help me figure out the signature on this Fantastic Four #1 poster. My older brother had this signed in Pittsburgh about 35 years ago at a comic book convention here and gave it to me years ago since Spider-Man was my favorite superhero. I came across it again a few years ago buried in my closet. I forgot I even had it. I asked my brother recently who signed it, but he doesn't remember. He believes it was one of the original Spider-Man artists since he drew a Spider-Man face and that he possibly was from either Pittsburgh or Western Pennsylvania. I've been trying to research it off and on, but always come up empty.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. I'd love to frame it and hang it up.
    Thanks all!

That appears to be Jim Shooter's signature.

I submitted several books on the 23rd of October, one of the books is Uncanny X-Men #266 I just found out that Joe Rubinstein will be doing a In House Private Signing event can I have a book I have already submitted held for the signing event? If not i don't know if  will have the book back in time to resubmit it for the event?

Customer Service might be able to help with this, email them at service@cgccomics.com. Please note they are very busy right now so it could take a few days for a response.

Hey guys I'm new to the boards (not comics!) - I love the Boys so when I saw the signature event I was ecstatic. My question... I sent three comics to CGC for the upcoming signing event (Anthony Starr, Erin Moriarty). It says it had to be in by November 16th, my package should arrive by Saturday the 14th or so... I subbed these along with regular comics (AND another signature event that's happening in the next month or so) to get graded in one package. They're all separate packing slips and all that jazz, I forgot to write on the outside of the box there was a signature event sub within it... Am I screwed as far as getting it in on time since they may take a few days to process and input it into the system? If I posted this in the wrong spot as well, apologies for that. Thanks again.

Our receiving team looks for the initialed boxes to make sure those get "received" as fast as possible. Does your package still saying delivered or has it moved to received?

I sent an order 2-3 weeks ago, and I was wondering how long it takes for me to receive a notification on the arrival, it is my first CGC shipment.

Hello, CGC's receiving team is working overtime to get to all of the packages as quickly as possible. Your shipping tracking number should show "delivered" and then once our receiving department gets it entered into the system it will show "received" within our system and you can log in to your CGC account to see that.

mine was delivered last Friday 10/30 and still hasn't been put in the system so I'm going to assume they are a bit backed up. However i wouldnt mind if they took longer but at least let me know you guys have received it. its my first bulk to CGC and just want to be sure they got to the correct place

Our system sadly doesn't allow for multiple layers of receiving. When your package has been delivered it's with us, we just haven't opened the box yet. Hopefully that puts you at ease a little.

When submitting books for an in house signing, if I send a book to be pressed and one that doesn't do they have to be packaged separately?

Nope, you can send them in the same box and the CGC receiving team will see the packing slip showing one is going to pressing after the signing and make sure that happens.

I would like to help facilitate fellow collectors sending their trading cards to CGC as at present in the UK PSA have a monopoly on card grading as they have UK affiliates. Does CGC run a similar program and if so what are the requirements?

Hello, yes CGC does offer something similar to this. If you want more detail email signatureseries@cgccomics.com and they can connect you with all the information. :)

Hi Message board. First post here. I just bought this MEGA KEY book on ebay and it was JUST slabbed last month. When it arrived, I was super happy! until I looked close and put it on the wall. It turns out the inside of the case is full of scuffs and scratches. I thought CGC would replace the case which was obviously damaged before the comic was encapsulated. But - NOPE! I called and emailed customer service and since this is more than 14 days old, I am apparently SOL (and rude service today too - IMO). I am SUPER bummed because I just want this to look nice on the wall. I am also surprised CGC wont stand by their product past 14 days. Sadly, I still want the comic - I dont want to return it... but I hate having this comic present so poorly in its case. Any thoughts? (please note, the picture is only of some of the scuffs because there is a max picture size allowed)

Hey there, sorry to hear about the scratches. You could send the book in for a reholder only, which depending on the value of the book would be $15 - $35.

    Hello,

I am curious about how long it is currently taking for CGC to log the submission as received. My shipping information shows they had received the package early Tuesday so I was curious how long it is taking for it to be put into the system as received? Thanks everyone!

Receiving is running a bit behind so it will can be a few days before it gets "received" into the system.

    Hello

I was wondering if anyone knew the cost to ship CGC graded lobby cards back to the UK. I have around 12 I want grading and cant find any I fomation on here anyway regarding price.

Shipping is figured out at the end of the submission form process. It calculates it for you depending on what shipping method you prefer. You also have the option of canceling the order before you hit submit. The shipping cost is also calculated for return shipping through that final step of the submission process too. If it is more, CGC will notify you of it. If you would like an estimate you can contact the customer service team and they can give you an estimate. service@cgccomics.com

Hello. I recently bought a signed TMNT 2011 IDW #95 comic in a Instagram live auction and it is currently with Kevin eastman. I gave his team my customer id# to have it graded and slabbed. Do I need to do anything with cgc to inform that a book is being shipped.or to pay for the signature series grading -slab?

I recommend emailing our Signature Series team and asking them. They can be reached at signatureseries@cgccomics.com

I just recently upgraded my membership to Premium and I was wondering how to use the $149 in credit.  When I looked at the submission form online, I notcied they were asking for card information.  I am assuming that they will go ahead and charge me the full amount once I click submit.  Is there away around this?  dO THEY PUT A TEMPORARY HOLD AND JUST DRAW FROM THE CREDIT AMOUNT INSTEAD?

If you have a credit that will be applied to your order first. If you have any unused it stays in your account to you use next time. It will stay in your account until it is completely used and then your purchases will pull from your CC on file. Sadly, you can't check your balance online but you can reach out to Customer Service and they can help get you a balance of what's left if you ever what to know. Also, charges are applied after all services have been made so there is no hold on CC's.

Great info on choosing service.  I had the exact question and that helps.  I have the New LAST RONIN book from TMNT.  It is a comic book and a regular Prestige Format width and size but it is about 1/4 to 1/2" Taller than a regular comic.  Would that be graded as a COMIC book or a MAGAZINE?

'The Last Ronin' is too large for the comic book holders so it needs to be submitted as a magazine and will go in a magazine holder.

Can I ship purchased items (may they be from auction, private dealer, etc.) straight to CGC for grading? Or, do I need to receive them first and then ship to CGC?

Thanks from someone new to the CGC world!

That would depend. You need to submit a submission form for your grading through your CGC account and then you would need to insert the packing slip inside the poster packaging you are shipping to CGC. If the auction/dealer you are buying the poster from can insert the packing slip for you you can ship directly from them.

    Hello!

I sent my first books to be graded a few weeks ago and it says they were delivered, but under "My Submissions," it says I haven't sent anything. So I'm wondering how long it usually takes before I see that they have, indeed, received my books. What's your experience?

I can tell you that there has been an influx of submissions due to the private signings and it is taking a couple days for mail to be received. The status will change on your account after the receiving team gets to your package. Hope this was helpful.
