If I could just find a nicely priced 92, then I'll only have from 1 - 10 to go...
What grade are you looking for?
I think John is probably looking for #92 the way I was looking for #41 for a while. He (reasonably) wants a real bargain, since there's loads of mid-to-high-grade copies out there, and because he (once again reasonably) figures he's one of the very few people actively looking for this issue!
Yep, I'm a cheapskate at heart!

Haven't visited this thread in a dog's age. Anyone got any new early Spidey pickups to show?
Just a heads-up...I'll be putting a bunch of silver Spideys up for sale at this weekend's virtual convention, including a nice low-grade ASM #4 with the first Sandman. See you then!
I usually don't post until the books arrives but...

Communication, communication, communication!.
*spoon* happens and as long as your honest and explain your situation in a timely manner, there should be no mud-slinging. I've had non-payers and late payers and as long a I'm aware of what's in their head, I'm fine.
It's the blatant non-payers, liars, string-alongers we need to out here. Honest mistakes or unforseen financial hardships are forgivable. This is not ebay and we should strive to be better than ebay.

Sure I see a good deal and try to buy when the funds aren't always available, but I make sure to let the buyer know.
Seriously bad form...if you don't have the money immediately available to buy, refrain from using the . It's not a hard concept. Sellers shouldn't have to wait for you to get your finances straight...
Jim
Sometimes I think it does well for common courtesy. Centaurman let me do time payments on a book, because I couldn't pass up on it due to the overwhelming good deal. My budget is small so it helps out a lot.
The difference is that I'm sure Centaurman knew that you wanted to do time payments up front. Time payments are a beautiful thing...

Not to sound like a broken record (how many in advance have said the same thing?)...
Thanks to Nick for some great high grade 70's Marvels. First Class!
-
Yes Bang please keep posting them ( without cropping the tops if possible)
I would recommend that you try to get CGC to give the books a pedigree and have a small quantity of the graded so you can see what they come up with. Also try to get them in the book on pedigrees as soon as possible. All of this should help the eventual sales value of the books for whenever you or you heirs do sell.
I am sure your intentions are pure...but this is over the line. CGC decides nothing about pedigrees, the hobby does.
People just sit back and enjoy what he is willing to share....jon
Amen.
Can we see some Tecs or Timely's? Pretty please...

Sweet Red Raven 1!
A batch came back from the Graders today, you have seen these in the raw, now the slabbed versions.
-
My small but key group of Timely's ... most of these I have wanted for about 25 years, since I was a lad...
...And a killer group shot of those Timelys! Man!
You will probably want to unload your Science Comics #3 and #4 at this point, as they clearly fall outside your collecting interest.

some bronze age spidey's thanks to 1koko for a great deal on these run fillers for me.
Since when did 9.4's become fillers?
-
Thanks to rjpb for the Spectre DC Archives!
-
A few more pickups from WonderCon...
Was pleasantly surprised to pick this one up for about 60% of guide...
Love those ST's!!!
Agreed.
How's the Spider-man story?

Thanks to qualitycomix (Brent) for this lovely ASM #41!
Just one more issue, and I'll have completed my ASM #1-64 run. (Now which one was it again? Kind of a thinnish number, as I recall...)
Great copy Jon! How many organs do you plan on selling to purchase ASM1?
-
Thanks Jeff (Strong Guy) for ASM Annuals 2 & 6. They were strictly graded and packaged well!
-
What's the scoop with the US Patent reference? Do all books from this era have it?
Fantastic books!
-
I'm glad that you're keeping CAP 1 free from the confines of a holder!

I just received this from the boards (one and only) point five. Scan doesn't do the book justice. Apart from the heavy spine wear, it present much better than many VG+ books I own. Great gloss and decent page quality.
Time to go for the biggies!!!!!
-
Kudos go out to Point Five for his typical prompt delivery (I love getting packages from NYC) and strict grading. Thanks for the ASM 11!
-
... and I rank Superboy up there with Robin
Is that a good thing?
-
I have to go with MF53. The Spectre is my favourite superhero from the Golden Age.
-
Stop building the suspense! We all want to know what book it is!! Knowing your tendencies my money's on a restored copy of one of two major books
Any clues from his signature?
-
says the guy who sold $20k in tecs in 24 hours on the boards
But none were high grade unrestored...
Yearh that's right! it was some cheap-*spoon* drek!
Even though $5K is a lot of coin, I'm personally thrilled to know that early restored TECs can be found without spending my entire retirement savings.
-
Awesome, coolJ!!! Tough book in almost any grade! Your #16 would go well with the All American #17 CGC 6.0 I just listed on eBay:
GE
I agree, but I'm having a problem entering my bid of 3000.00
I just changed the listing to a STARTING BID of $99!!! No more excuses...GO FOR IT!
GE
great....I just bought Ciorac's 4.5....now I have to buy yours too
If you'd just waited, you could have bought an early Tec instead.

Kudos to Fastball Special for 3 x 25 cent Thors (and the bonus book).
They were packaged well and accurately graded.
