Had a wonderful transaction involving a four figure piece of art. What this kudos thread may lack in quantity thus far, consider it made up for in quality. It was an extended process, and the communication was top notch each step of the way (with the sale being finalized well before the expected close). As a seller, you hope for customers like Mike. As a fan, you welcome the days you come across fans like him. He's a true asset to the community! Thanks again!

Never read Cerebus, but I'm interested. Is High Society a good starting point, or would another spot be better? -

What are some themes in your OA collection?
Legion of Goom replied to Mike R V's topic in Original Comic Art
My themes are Sandman paintings and Eric Powell Goon (pages or covers). There's another oddball piece here or there, but those are definitely the core focus. -

eBay listings with questionable claims
Legion of Goom replied to GeeksAreMyPeeps's topic in Modern Age Comic Books
We're in alignment- my point wasn't to rehash the old 1st appearance vs preview thing...what I was pointing out was that, even if one buys 1000% in to previews being the true first appearance, there still isn't a case for Malibu Sun being the first appearance, as Spawn appeared in other previews first. So, regardless of what side of the fence one is regarding the first appearance debate, the one thing all parties should be in agreement on is that MB Sun ain't it and shouldn't be advertised as such. Apologies if that's splitting hairs too finely- I'm sure I can dig up something more in the spirit if what you were looking for 👍 -
eBay listings with questionable claims
Legion of Goom replied to GeeksAreMyPeeps's topic in Modern Age Comic Books
Any one of a number of listings referring to Malibu Sun as the 1st Spawn appearance. Even if we ignore the whole preview vs first appearance argument, it's not even the first time he appeared in a preview. This auction is just one of the offenders, but there's plenty more where that came from https://www.ebay.com/itm/MALIBU-SUN-13-FIRST-APPEARANCE-OF-SPAWN-CGC-9-6-VHTF-FIRST-TIME-OFFERING-WOW-/333824426854?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292 -
There's nothing wrong with taking time to think things over before providing an answer to any offer, solicited or not. It's natural to have cold feet from time to time, and I'm sure we've all gotten it at one point or another. That doesn't mean it's not super dejecting to the person on the other side of the table. It sounds like this whole thing could've been avoided with a simple "gimme a few days to think on it", rather than the transaction going far enough down the rabbit hole to have gotten an agreement and in to detailed discussions about customs. Just my two cents. Heck if I know whether that's probation worthy, I'm not a scientist.

Savage She Hulk #1 going to hang on to these levels?
Legion of Goom replied to Concorde's topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
Deadpool may have been 3rd tier at one point, but I'd say generating over $1.4 billion in box office headlining two solo flicks should at least merit a bump to the 2.5 tier range -

I know what you mean, gonna have to do that myself. I really didn't need to bite on a God of Thunder 2 variant, but here we are 😆 -
Art is in excellent condition. Asking $850, fully insured USPS priority mail shipping included. in this thread trump all ongoing PM negotiations. Payment via PayPal, check, or money order. Art will be sent out promptly (no more than 2 business days) after payment clears. Don't hesitate to check out my kudos thread- I don't do a ton of transactions, but I'm proud to offer the best experience I can! No HOSers, no returns unless something extraordinary happens and it gets wrecked in shipping (please contact me immediately if that is the case).

I thought it was a typo when I saw it. Easily the fastest buy I've ever made on there. My son thought something was the matter when I shot up 😆 I think whoever won that comiclink 9.6 just got a really good price as well

Certificate of Authenticity Neal Adams
Legion of Goom replied to BFA1971's topic in Original Comic Art
This has been a very enlightening thread for this rookie Adams collector. Thank you all for that. It clearly breaks down how he can produce what he does at the rate he does, which I still consider a bargain all things considered. I picked this up for $250 from a seller over Thanksgiving, and it makes total sense reading through this how it was priced like it was.
