  1. Yep, 100% agree on the same wave length, I would have definitely scooped these up for $2 each. Sometimes with books like this I'll bundle them with other books as a lot if I'm selling on eBay, just to make sense with shipping and my time it takes to list and pack. I personally make sure to disclose every single flaw (on every book I sell, but that especially goes double on moderns in the F/VF range) so I don't have a buyer who gets upset. I know some people might not see the value in selling $8-10 books, but when you paid $2 each and you can maybe get $20 or so out of a lot sale, why not? My goal if I find cheap books to flip is always 3x-4x my money spent. I go for consistent singles instead of home runs, it's been fun and worked fairly well for me so far.
  2. Definitely - I can send you $20 for it, what's your Paypal? In all seriousness though, it looks to be a pretty complete, solid copy based on the one photo; not bad at all for an 80-year-old book. I'd take good, high-quality photos of the front and back of the book plus this interior photo and post to the "spare a grade" area: https://boards.cgccomics.com/forum/42-hey-buddy-can-you-spare-a-grade/ You can get a good idea of grade there, and you may want to consider getting it graded - there's a 6.5 listed for $5,000 on eBay now (listed, not sold, keep that in mind), and a 3.5 last sold in 2016 for $525, so it'd most likely go higher now. My guess from this one photo is that it's probably more in the 2.0-2.5 range, but that's why you should post to "spare a grade" to get opinions from people much better at grading than I am. Even if you don't get it graded, I'd definitely put it in a nice Mylar and not worry too much about the foxing, especially on a Golden Age book. Especially if it has sentimental value, I'd definitely at the very minimum get it into a high-quality Mylar so you can enjoy and appreciate it.
  3. They don't look too bad from the photos (maybe the Thrawn is a little bit rough, but the other two look decent) - did you find them cheap? If it were me, I'd likely flip them if I found them cheap enough. But I'm like you, I definitely would grab these if I found them for the right price, and then I'd wonder exactly what I should do with them because I don't "really" collect these - which is why half my collection is so scatterbrained...
  4. Pretty sure there's only one obvious answer to this topic.
  5. I actually think it's really cool-looking! I can understand why you might not like it as the submitter, but I like the way the sketch frames over the cover art, and the pink color pops.
  6. Got a couple of beauties in the mail today - thanks @thirdgreenham!
