  1. Not sure about the post office, but the seller should refund. If they refuse, you should be able to get your money back anyway through eBay's money back guarantee for receiving a damaged item.
  2. Yeah, to the point where I was thinking of it as "the Council of Ricks" in the movie...
  3. Just got back from seeing it - I liked it, thought it was much better than Wakanda Forever, Thor Love and Thunder, Eternals and Shang-Chi. Felt like a throwback to some of the earlier- mid-Marvel movies. I also got some definite Star Wars vibes in different spots. Looking forward to GotG 3 also (saw the trailer before the movie today). There were also major Rick and Morty vibes that I thought I was just kind of imagining, but I just found out that the writer was also a Rick and Morty writer..
  4. From his Substack: https://zdarsky.substack.com/p/public-domain-returns
  5. This ragged X-men 1 coverless sold for $1,805: https://www.ebay.com/itm/304762581077 A graded back-cover-only sold for $145. If you're talking about trying to find a quality, original cover to add to your coverless copy, you're probably looking at spending $300-600 or more - if you can even find something like that. You could do it with a reproduction cover copy for probably $20-50, but I think you'd significantly diminish your buyer pool if you did something like that. As others said, it depends on your intention (and it also depends a bit on how much you have invested into it so far). If it were me, and I had "an incredibly high quality interior to X-Men #1," I'd either keep it in a mylar and full back, or I'd probably have it graded as-is.
  6. I'm at 5.0 based on foxing/shadow across the bottom and upper right back cover and the rounded corners. Pretty book though, especially for being 21 years older than I am...
  7. It's definitely a cool-looking cover, but I don't think it's $300 cool.
  8. Yeah, very true - seems like he's all in on "anything for the views."
  9. Ah, I wondered about that. It's a matter of choice to do the right thing from the get-go, and it's even harder to own up to it when you don't make the right choice; but it's easy to give lip service and then continue on your merry way. I was hoping he was owning up and I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt in case we were being too harsh, but I was also skeptical.
  10. As someone who has been to this show in the past (I missed this one) and other regional shows, I can actually almost picture who that dealer probably was just based on your couple of short descriptions. Either way, you got some nice books, and I don't think you did too bad at all, congrats!
  11. All fun aside, to be fair... It does look like he admits/understands the error of his ways, or at least says so, based on his recent comments:
  12. I'm trying to figure out if "West Coast Border Hounds" is/are: A) A pack of hounds that patrol the West Coast, keeping the borders of Washington, Oregon and California safe from ocean dwellers B) A group of people who board rescue dogs on the West Coast but also have problems with spelling C) A snitch who likes to stir s#!t up online and look out for their bruhs who are being dissed and dragged by boomers and Gen Xers who ain't got nothin better to do than bite your style bruh, u do u, I been showin out for a minute on your vids homie, gimme a shout in the comments if ya feel me fam!
  13. It's like a commentary under the videos on his YouTube page- but it'd be great if he did a video on this. That I would watch...
