  1. Nice book. The only defect that I see is the upper corner which looks slightly dent on the BC. I'm at a 9.6.
  2. Definitely a novice especially with older books but I'm exactly in line with the previous opinions and saying 3.0-3.5 with leaning towards 3.5. Nice book!
  3. That top staple looks pretty bad. I don't think that the 9.8 example looks like the picture of your book but I may be tricked by the angle or lighting. Not really sure but I'm closer to a 8.5-9.0.
  4. I was about to ask what everyone else was seeing. I saw one spine tick some slightly rounded corners and a small crease. I was guessing 9.4 before I saw the result. Nice book! I've had 3 graded and they all came back 9.6.
  5. This looks like a 8.5-9.0 to me. I got back a 9.2 that's pretty similar without the smudge.
  6. I copied the Facebook post so I made sure to ask his question properly. Everything after "curious guy" was the OP's post on a Facebook topic.
  7. Someone who just sent a book to be signed just got a note stating that there's color touch. Anyone have experience with this? What type of label would this get? It's not my book and I don't know the person who asked. I'm just a naturally curious guy.
  8. I think you have a chance. The corners look more like bindery tears to me and the ticks don't appear to be color breaking. I just got mine back that I pregraded before cleaning and pressing at about a 9.0 mostly due to what I thought was color rubs and was comparable to yours and it came back at 9.8!
  9. Appreciate it. This group has helped a lot. I have a bunch of books from when I was a teen but got out of the hobby for a couple of decades. When I got back in, I had missed a lot including grading and pressing. Still a novice by far but learning is fun.
  10. 9.4. Looks fairly comparable to the one I just got back at a 9.4.
  11. If this is frowned upon please let me know and I will take it down. Here are videos of 8 books that I took before I sent them to be cleaned, pressed, and graded and a video after I got them back to see I how accurately I graded them. Before: One late addition: Grade reveals: They are long as a tried to take my time going over the books but it was good practice for me and I got to use some of the practice I had from lurking around here and seeing how others grade. Thanks for your time.
  12. I've got before and after videos for this whole submission. If anyone is interested, I'll post the link of the reveal if allowed.
  13. Thanks to everyone for their grades. Happy with the grade. A 9.8 would've been nice but not too shabby.
  14. Some significant loss of color gloss and tanning but overall in pretty good shape. Staples are very solid. Thanks to everyone who takes their time to look and evaluate.
  15. As far as I recall, they look the same. I just sent them to be cleaned and pressed and then graded. I'll let everyone know how they come back.
  16. Ironically, I was gonna say it was a well warred copy.
  17. The miswrap makes me think I'm seeing ticks so I'm a little thrown off. I got back 3 9.6s of this book back in November so I'm going with that. Good luck!
  18. Welcome! These guys are very helpful here. They've helped me catch a missing page so I avoided getting a .5 incomplete book. So there's a lot to be gleaned from here. I don't know if X-men 81 is worth grading. If it's from the original series it is a reprint of #33. Xmen was doing poorly and they started reprinting older issues. This happened between issues 67-93.
  19. Some mid grade Silver Age goodness. I appreciate all the feedback as I'm not experienced at all in grading older books.
