  1. Just an update.

    To address a few issues.

The consignor is a major EU dealer who attended the Lake Como show which Mignola also attended. We have never had an issue with him over the years.

As many of you are aware, we take in may consignments at the deadline. This one slipped through.

Mike immediately, confirmed that this is not authentic

  2. That's in great shape! Cool cover, too. And what a cool name for a magazine: Unknown. Later in 1940, July I think, Theodore Sturgeon published a favorite story of mine, with the extremely creepy but very succinct name of It. Unfortunately, I've been unable to find so much as a cover image for that particular issue (which I'd love to own someday).

..while not as well known as others, UNKNOWN is considered one of the best.. sexy cover, this is newsstand mint, probably a file copy.

Also features the Reign of Wizardry for which Frazetta would later create his most provocative cover.

I believe that may have been in the August 1940 issue.

  3. Understand both sides of it. Sellers want reserves buyers do not. What really counts, is how reasonable the reserve is and if the item is worth the price.

By the way, just because an item does not have a reserve does not mean it gets noticed. Most buyers get very myopic missing out on great opportunities.
