  1. I bought a couple X-Factors off of Mike and they arrived quickly and in great shape. Very tight grading and good secure shipping - can't get any better!
  2. Wow - you must have dug very deep to find my kudos thread! Glad you enjoyed the books.
  3. I would put it up for auction. It should yield you the most money. Too bad he didn't get it last month - it probably would have done great at the ComicLink auction last week. Crazy high prices realized for some of the 9.8/9.9s.
  4. 1st one ever!! Nice! Wonder what you would price it at? $1,500?
  5. Guess that means EST would be 70-80 business days. Wow that is a lot of waiting. Means about 100+ calender days. My modern slow track from 8/1/14 is still sitting at received. So your economy books are likely at 80+, especially with NYCC coming up. Ya I have MST also from 8/1. Good thing I have nothing else to be sent in. Less I snag something for dropoff at NYCC Does anyone worry that the hot book you submitted in August wont be hot anymore when you get it back in November? Such a long time to have books sitting around. It absolutely is an issue with hot books. Anything hot or looking to get hot has to be sent in fast track. Which in turn increases the cost for the slab up to $35 or so with shipping (larger order). There definitely a complex "game" involved with picking the books worth slabbing and figuring the optimum slabbing method to make some cash at the end of it all.

  7. I just sent him a separate PM which notified him that I submitted his name for inclusion into the PL.
  8. Probably, since he responded fairly quickly to my first couple PMs.
  9. Yep. I sent the following messages starting on August 13th: #5410773 - 08/13/14 03:46 PM Invoice 1Cool Online happy TOTAL NEWBIE Registered: 08/31/06 Posts: 8410 Loc: Ohio Hi, I've got you down for the following books with a total of $68 including shipping. Please contact me ASAP since I'll have to report this transaction to the Probation Thread in a couple weeks. I'd love to resolve this purchase with you. Andrew
  10. Correct. I sent him 3 PM's requesting he pay my invoice or contact me if there was some issue and he has not read any of them.
  11. I will unfortunately have to nominate Rpg410 to the Probation List. On July 31, he asked for a package price on a set of Warlock's I had for sale. We agreed on a price and I took it down as sold. I did see he had just picked up another set of pretty much the same books so I asked him if he was still interested and he said he was. I invoiced him in August 13 and he has not paid and has not read the invoice or the several other messages I have sent him. Not really sure what I need to provide but here is the messages which prompted my request for him to be added to the list: Rpg410 Offline Hobbyist Registered: 05/19/14 Posts: 34 Hey buddy, thanks! Any luck on the Luke Cage? Sorry about that also. I didn't realize I was looking at an older thread. Also can you give me a package price on any warlock books you have left? Thanks again #5375703 - 07/31/14 08:38 AM Re: Would like to make a purchase 1Cool Online happy TOTAL NEWBIE Registered: 08/31/06 Posts: 8407 Loc: Ohio Hey man, Let me get that list together for you. I noticed you picked up a set of Warlock on the boards - do you still want a total for what I have available. And please check out my sales thread to see if anything else peaks your interest. I'll have to get you an exact quote on the Conan 1 tonight but I can sell you the Power Man 66 for an extra $8 if your interested in that one. #5376456 - 07/31/14 02:20 PM Re: Would like to make a purchase Rpg410 Offline Hobbyist Registered: 05/19/14 Posts: 34 I wanted the hero for hire #1, not Conan. #5376460 - 07/31/14 02:23 PM Re: Would like to make a purchase 1Cool Online happy TOTAL NEWBIE Registered: 08/31/06 Posts: 8407 Loc: Ohio Oh that's right. I did scan that one last night but I'm not sure about price and grade. I think its a FN but I'll send scans and price tonight. Do you want to have me put a sold sign up for the Warlocks and take down the PowerMan 66 from E-Bay. #5376662 - 07/31/14 03:45 PM Re: Would like to make a purchase Rpg410 Offline Hobbyist Registered: 05/19/14 Posts: 34 Sure thing! Thanks dude
  12. The actual or perceived greed of the some greatly upsets the many?
  13. So you couldn't add a RAK component to the PIF thread? It's so dead you could pretty much add whatever you want.
  14. Yea - the name stinks. And I'm sure the people and reasons you dislike it have not come over here. That thread is even slower than this one so why have two slow threads when a combined thread makes more sense. But it's cool - do whatever.
  15. Why doesn't everyone go back over to the PIF thread and give away random items? That thread is stuck up top and has been around for over two years. The intent of creating a new thread is now moot because the 1 month wait time and vetoes are not being used.
  16. I bought a couple low grade AV 57s and they arrived quickly and look great for the grade. Thanks again!
  17. I think the flip side is almost more likely. No one wants to take an offer since they do not want to be seen as "takers ".
  18. On our birthday no less. I will remember this day for the good not the bad.
  19. I think it needs to be community run. It really is somewhat of a burden for one person to update a list like this. It can easily be a floating, community run list. When someone wants to offer up something, they just add their name with a link to their offering. When someone claims it, they just quote the list again and add their name as a recipient. So does everyone think we should just change this to a RAK thread or start a new one? I think RAKs would still qualify as The Giving Tree. Just throw up RAKs, anyone can claim, and then hopefully there will be a revolving door of people giving and claiming. Isn't that basically the PIF thread? I definetely would not attempt to start up another thread - if Harvey can't make it work you would be destined for failure. The PIF thread was abondoned to allow people the ability to veto an offer and require people to wait a month between offers which now seems to have been nullified by the GT thread officially closing. What is the new intent of this thread that is different than PIF? People can now offer and accept as much as they want and the participating members will keep everyone honest. Sounds fun - best of luck guys.
  20. After seeing all the activity last night I assumed someone had grabbed the War books. Hopefully there is a war fan who has not seen it yet.
  21. Glad it made it safe and sound. Enjoy.
  22. Nice. Should not last long considering all the war fans out there.
