  1. On the other side of the collectibles market, I thought most if not all the video games stuff did very well, selling for strong prices across the board
  2. That would suck so bad!? I hope it never happens or happened. A few do crack their books out so if they did find some damages that was not there before than it would get really ugly. I don't think CGC would do that, at least I want to believe so.
  3. Yeah I remember seeing 7.0's in 2017 selling consistently for $120k+
  4. Yeah, I remember Gator mentioning that. Small gradual increases yearly is healthy for the hobby with some stagnant months/years along the way. Huge price jumps out of nowhere is not. When that happens, prices will eventually come back down to reality later on.
  5. Agreed on Tec #69 did very well! I also think the AS #3 CGC 3.5 at $20k too! Unsure about the Suspense #3 CGC 5.0 copy if it did well or not. I don't follow that book closely.
  6. But honestly what do you see long term for SA keys? I think long term it's a good hold. Hopefully the market will rebound from this in the near future.
  7. I knew I should've kept my drek comics instead of dumping/feeding them to the fire pit . Who knew they would've came in handy!
  8. Funny you mentioned toilet paper because yesterday when I went grocery shopping, I was surprised that they didn't have any in stock!? Some people are just taking things too seriously and way over the top.
  9. Tec 31 CGC 1.5 sold for $33,600 Hoping it would be at least $40k.. Great price!
  10. Also if you have a sales tax resale certificate you don't pay for taxes
  11. I could be wrong, but there might be a few states left where there are no sales tax to be paid to Heritage
  12. I thought there was a $1 million 9.4 copy private sale somewhere?
  13. Doesn't make sense why previous owner would re-submit (perhaps pressed) and now the book is a 9.6. It's already the highest graded copy AND most who are looking for a copy already know what the grade was before the new grade. Countless times we've seen the same book with a new higher grade (usually half a point) garnered a lower sale price.
  14. Consignors taking a bath that's for sure... I dunno what kind of a deal they got with Heritage on their consignments, but thinking mostly 15-20% seller's fee?
  15. Ok but we both know that that 4.0 doesn't actually look like that in hand either. I'm sure if you put both copies side by side that there wouldn't be that much of a difference. Perhaps. A few boardies on here complained that Heritage over-exaggerates the colors of the books in their scans. So that 4.0 that recently sold might look worst
  16. Short answer... NOPE! So far I haven't really seen a "strong sale"
  17. Ohhh man, that seller took a bath! Finished at $45K, but after BP. Their take home was $38K, and that's before seller fee. Ouch, and you were right, the grade bump meant nothing!!! What book are you guys talking about?
  18. Cmon, the Bat #1 took a bath and there's no amount of excuses you can make around it. Sure if you're argument on a soft FF #1 7.0 at 26K is that it had an awful Stan Lee sig on top sure but this was a nice 4.0 with ow/w pages. You would've had 10 buyers lined up at that price throwing that money at you a year ago. Yea, the Bat 1 did take a bath. Didn't think it at all that it sold for a good price. But if I was a buyer for a copy, I wouldn't have gone much higher at all due to like I said the colors on the book. Give me this copy all day: Bat 1
  19. Yep, lackluster performances for both books. Bat 1 didn't have good color on it, probably why it sold for cheap. AS #8, well as I've said before was due for a price correction and wasn't surprised by the sale price. So many copies out there to choose from.
  20. Damn those monkeys!? That is such a great and classic movie. Everyone needs to watch!
