Anybody intellectually honest that has been following this conversation between you and I has already seen history bear witness. So says the comic book dealer. I've never said that comic books only go up. Does that make me a bad dealer or a good dealer? Round 128.. FIGHT!

Makes sense, but you think there will be less errors about this moving forward though? I think a few will still slip through the cracks. Doubt that everyone who has or have recently bought a new hero label with the restored book would re-submit for a purple label. I believe those people who gotten away with this would quickly sell them to maximize profits. Of course there are some good souls out there who would turn them back in for the appropriate label color.

Yup and I sold my 5.0 copy a couple months ago for $19k so right in line for a 5.5.

Or just have a "DESTRUCTION" red label.. All jokes aside I too wonder how the book that was previously cleaned is now in an unrestored label. I guess they missed the cleaning part on the book? Seems fishy..

Luckily over the course of two years, I have not had a single return. I take good and detailed pictures and clearly describe anything on my description if needed attention. If I were to do what you suggested (going back two years or 2500 transactions) to figure out any losses if any, it would take me a long time to check every single one of those transactions. High volume sales would be a headache I imagine.

But how can you charge a 3% restocking fee if a refund is being sent back to your account? It's not like you can edit the amount you're being refunded for nor will PP add 3% to it. Only way is to add 3% to your buy price in case a return would happen.

So is something actually being done about Berkbridge's actions? This is just so wrong in every single way...

Sensation Comics #1 CGC 5.5 Cream-Offwhite Pages Universal Price (FIRM) - $43,000 (check only, up to 3 months time payments avail.).. Last sale of a CGC 5.0 sold on Heritage earlier this year for $40,800 and eye appeal is just ok, not as good as this one! After taxes, shipping, etc. price would be closer or more to what I have my 5.5 priced at.

Danngg!! What a price for that Turtlemania book . Had I found that book in say my long box and didnt know anything about it, I'd probably think it's worth $100 tops TMNT 1 is the holy grail for millennials! Now that they are in their 30s, I'm sure there's a few highly successful and uber rich individuals who can afford $100k+ to buy a comic book. I grew up watching the original turtles cartoons, movies, and played with the toys. But to me, I personally do not see TMNT 1 as a $90k book. Not that hardcore over turtles like some are.

And you know that will be brought up to CL too I would think if say the buyer wants to return for their money back. Along the lines of, you should've read the label with the notes or label says universal. Not CL's fault because they did put in the description as Degree of Restoration: C-1 slight amateur.. So, it is both the buyer's fault for not reading the description AND CGC for putting the book in a blue label that says UNIVERSAL.
