  1. Yes patience finnally paid off.

I had been eyeing this book on Ebay for a while.....nothing big but it is likely the second Charlton book published, classic funny animal cover and I always like higher grade GA for small $$$ so I have watched this book linger on Ebay for a month or two...but I always passed it up

    ZOO FUNNIES #2 CGC 7.5 BIN $87.50

Today I was browsing for a cheap book before spending $$$ at Megacon and I ran across the new auction...

  3. I am officially jumping on the Nedor band-wagon!

Been trying to get this book for a few years. It took an Action 7 to pry it loose...not straight up, but this is the one book in the trade that I am keeping.

It will go nicely with the 6. Yahoo!

I could think of worse books to trade for.... :cloud9:

  4. Congrats Senor :applause: You waited a long time and it was worth it. Glad you enjoyed reading it too

You are the official CS cheerleader Bill. Thanks.

as excited as I am sure bill is to hear that, I believe he rather "have" a cheerleaeder, than be one lol

A Texas A&M cheerleader would be at the top of Bill's list.

hm they grow them pretty here in Fl too

This picture is clearly off topic and I find it offensive so I am saving the images to my computer as evidence :censored:

  5. can't have a discussion about ohio's without the greatest ohio extant being exhibited once again. if and when the timely's start being sold off, no question this one will be among the VERY last to go.

why is it in a qualified holder? If it left the printer like that then wouldn't it be considered an error?

  6. I waited too long to get on the bandwagon so to speak but I am picking up a #100 CGC in 9.4 and a #93 CGC 9.0 from another forum member this week. I used to have a beautiful 8.5 of #57 and I know I paid less than $60 for it......I can't believe the prices these are pulling now...I think #57 is another one along with #1 & #4 that are going to stay up price wise even when the hype wears out.....just a great cover :cloud9:

  7. I knew Avenger books would heat up due to the upcoming movie but man they are red hot!!! Almost all of the big sites are selling out of their CGC graded stuff as soon as they list it. That goes for ComicLink and Comic Connect as well...

When will it all end.....how quickly will the prices drop after the movie comes out or do you think they can maintain these levels like ASM's have with that movie franchise???

Use to be you couldn't give the books away apart from #1, #57, #93, #100....I use to own multiple copies of each accept for #1 and they could be had for under book value very easily.... hm
