  1. Not the biggest Cap fan so lots of these covers are new to me. Some really nice ones in here
  2. I don't have my own channel but I recommend Lords of the Long Box and Tales from the Flipside in addition to @zoso99's fine recs
  3. I have an inside source! The voices in my head just won't go away
  4. Sick cover on 219, now I want a nice copy just for that You think there's a chance they use War Machine to intro Punisher? Can't lie it'd be fitting and it would fit the pattern of how they've used all these shows to introduce new characters...
  5. Didn't go to my LCS, decided to try my not-so-LCS. They don't have the best prices but they were on my errand path so... ...didn't get that copy of Moon Knight #1 but I DID get 4 copies of Mighty Avengers V2 #1, 2 cover A and 2 with the Luke Cage cover for a dollar over cover price. They have the 1:50 variant too but they want $25 for it. Thinking about it, may circle back for that later. They have a copy of Moon Knight #1 but they want $30 for it. I did secret away with their Ms. Marvel 18 which was $100 for a lower end high grade copy. Not a modern but thought I'd mention it. They have a few copies of Ms Marvel 16 for $50 each and I might go back for all three of those too...
  6. Pretty good, sold around 13 for an average of $40, some higher some lower. Still have a couple to move, I haven't been listing them for a week or two. The whole set only cost me a hair over $40 after tax though so it was a nice score.
  7. What's it fetching? I see some copies have moved recently but it all seems to be around $10? My LCS has a copy for $10 but I'll leave it for now...
  8. I'll announce myself now The chart is from a blog. I've seen enough similar ones that I just grabbed the first image in GIS that fit. I find that when I search through all listings of a given 70s issue that has a direct variant they appear to pop up well less than 10% of the time and usually aren't noted as direct copies. I have a few that I believe are 9.8 candidates that I'm going to have my presser press...
  9. Question: Do you think collectors will ever recognize and come to value the very rare early direct market? Marvel was putting out direct issues sporadically before they formalized their direct/newstand market and right now it doesn't look like these early rare directs command any sort of premium... will the new money in the market ever mature enough to care about these? The same principle that makes late newsstands valuable to some collectors applies to these early directs I think
  10. That is my presumption as well. What I'd be more amped to see them work on is getting their submission tracker fixed. I don't think it's reasonable that orders don't show up until they're scheduled for grading. That's a months-long black hole
  11. I was going to make an offer for it and a few other ASMs but I wanted to check out a nearby shop this weekend first. Have my eye on this... have my eye on that... c'est la vie. Very nice buy! If this shop is anything like what I heard I may even be glad I saved my nickels. Probably not
  12. Used to be that Amazing Spider-Man 1 wasn't the most valuable book in the run because of Chameleon being so lame but not so any longer. Marvel Team-Up V1 Spectacular Spider-Man Web of Spider-Man Edge of Spider-Verse Hawkman V1
  13. There are so many great Romita Sr covers, this is definitely one of my very favorites. Incredible motion in the image, action and perspective. I have a few lower grade copies of this one I need to find a nicer one before it gets out of range for me. This cover is really a masterful display of John's talent

  15. Just agreed in principle to my first four figure comic purchase for Amazing Spider-Man #4. First appearance of Sandman, not Silk. Damn near sick over it but if I'm going to finish the run I'll cross this threshold a dozen times more But you're right $1,000 for a single book is a pretty high bar.
  16. I'm not, is that related to the video game? I'm most excited for Non-Stop Spider-Man and Chip Zdarsky's symbiote Spider-man take. Guess I am predictable in that way
  17. I hope they do something with Ghostmaker. Because like 10 copies of Batman 102 ended up in my store's 1/2 off section and I just couldn't help myself
