Very interesting. 99% of the time I buy books raw and get them slabbed if I want to get them slabbed, just a little more fun to me to hunt for raws and not know exactly what the grade will be but... with this small of a premium for WP I might look into picking up more books that are already graded. I think the premium will only grow going forward. Imagine if CGC ever updates the census to reflect grade AND page quality. WP books would explode. I bet they get there eventually, also with newsstand versus direct editions which GoCollect splits out on some major keys but not sure if the census itself does yet. Could still be some pockets of opportunity in this hot market.

IMO ofc but that's a great price. Mac Gargan has already been in the latest Spider-Man franchise... Scorpion is coming...

I'm waiting to watch someone must faster than me claim the ASM 238 he mentioned way back on page 2, want it bad!

No way on Earth. Maybe on another, alternate Earth but damn sure not this one. But I am one of the ones that never loved this Joker cover or found it special. What the market thinks matters more but as grading becomes more popular a lot of 9.8 Tec 880s will continue to come online. I think Batman 28 in that condition is just way, way rarer than a minty new comic, even if the print run wasn't huge at this stage IMO OFC

I can't believe that GR1 lasted so long. I was talking about coming back for it on page 2 then Foolkiller had to mention he had ASM 252s and ASM 238s coming... had to keep my powder dry But I think that is one of the biggest steals in this whole dang thread! Congratulations on the buy!

There's a book here I really want and it's such a good looking copy but I know there are bigger fans of this character on the board so I won't be greedy Unless it makes it to tomorrow that is, then fair is fair

I'm not sure. GA is really tricky to me, I don't have any in my own collection, and I don't know how newer collectors look at GA books. I think GA will see some major shifts in what's considered collectable from that era as younger collectors make up more of the dollars in the hobby. Which GA books will millennials and Gen Z value is the real question IMO

I meant to only collect ASM Vol 1... now I also have Spider-Man Vol 1... working on Spectacular and Web of Vol 1... and looks like I need these too. The art is fantastic throughout, plus the first appearance of Morgan Freeman in comics. Folks are sleeping on that one!
