Yes, Honestly, Flippers will get "grade shock" if CSG grades like they do CGC cards. The grades will be lower and the flippers will go back to PSA/BGS for resale prices and easier grades. Could be a good or bad thing. But i will submit the day CSG opens the doors. But the wait is like waiting for grades to pop. "SOON" is like months. "DAYS" are like months. I have no idea what "SOON" is at this point. LOL. (it was in a couple of weeks in Dec 2020, Then it was beginning of Jan 2021, now it is Feb 2021. LOL.

Have you actually used GMA? I have submitted and bought GMA slabs. They are inconsistent. But there are great finds in GMA Slabs. i have bought GMA 8 slabs that grade PSA 10. GMA 10 that grade PSA 10. But, i have bought GMA 10 slabs that look like 8's also . At this point , CGC seems to be consistent. But a little to strict on the centering in my opinion. As CGC grows and hire more graders, we will find out how consistent they will be. I use PSA(1000's),BGS(1000's) ,SGC(past),CGC(1,000+) and GMA(20 cards) They all have a use to me personally. Good and Bad. But i base my opinions on actual use , not hearsay.

Being the strictest does not mean better. Consistency is most important to succeed in the long run. GMA graded easier in the past, i would buy there cards knowing to just down grade the grades by 1. Now GMA is overly strict on some cards. now i do not even buy the cards because i do not know what i am dealing with grade wise. CONSISTENCY IS KING. Consistently easy graders, fine. Consistently strict graders fine. INCONSISTENT GRADERS, HORRIBLE.

Submission Status - Week ending 12/11
alohaboyz replied to Mosstastic_22's topic in CGC Trading Cards General Discussion
Every time i call they give me the same "bogus" answer. "Oh, its in grading and being finalized" after awhile , i begin to realize the answer is just a "lie" to make customers happy or get off the phone. My other orders are rolling in only 1-3 weeks late. -

What are the accurate turn around times?
alohaboyz replied to Yeahiwasder4dat's topic in Ask CGC Trading Cards
Dont feel bad, i know your pain of having paid services , not finishing. I had about $5000 in submissions paid for. Then CGC changed it to 60 days. 1/2 are coming back. but the other half is still going thru the process. EVEN FROM OCT. WELL OVER 30 DAYS TURNAROUND. -

It is you that is making a lot of assumptions. What makes you think you are the only person that owns a company posting on here? I have have and still own multiple companies. That is why i have a strong opinion on how companies should be run and treat customers. Cash flow is very important in the business world. Charging customers upfront for unfulfillable promises is not a good thing. If you are in denial of customers opinions and think you know everything, good luck improving your business. The people running the CGC card grading division are young and most likely have never owned or ever run a business, This situation of being "successful by having so much submission and success" is more luck than any type of skill on building a business (pandemic + PSA/bgs/sgc over flow + pokemon craze_). They need some direction. Luck is great, but to sustain longevity takes skill. -
Turnaround time changes and current orders

Guess what? I am.. I use PSA, BGS and CGC. CGC HAD a use with the 30 day turnaround. PSA is for high $$$$ cards, bulk and express. BGS is great with express. I guess i should spread the word around the open forums then. Giving CGC a chance to solve the problems on there OWN FORUM. Keeping it inhouse. E4 -

Its just cards , True, So grading companies should charge us at the end of grading. Its just Cards. I would have no problem if grading companies charged the customer at completion of services like any other business. There is no risk when a company charges upfront for product or services. They can change policies and take as long as they want as only the consumer has risk. -

Total BS. Why do i get penalized for your identifiers mistakes? i have some orders bouncing in and out of Scheduled to grade to Grading then back to Scheduled to grade.... Because CGC identified my cards wrong. REALLY NOT HAPPY AT THIS POINT. Orders received 10/28/2020 still "scheduled for grading" ... This is FFF UP. I give CGC the chance to clean this mistakes up privately first (email) , then on CGC forums and boards. if all that does not work, i post these problems on open forums. It is in the best interest to solve the problems in the EMAIL STAGE. All i want is my cards graded in approx the time promised, not 2x-3x the times posted when i submitted 500 cards. I was supportive of CGC . but a customer can only deal with so many mistakes and excuses. THE BALL IS IN YOUR COURT CGC. -

They make up the rules as they go along. What is policy today may not be what is policy tomorrow. -

PSA is not that bad if you think "cash flow", they charge when they finish Grading. BGS/SGC/CGC charge when received, having money locked up in "limbo" for months is actually a bad situation for customers financially. Never good to give free loans to companies. -

Perfectly said. I dont think the younger staff in the CGC department understand owning their own Business. Cash flow, customers service, problem solving and business ethics. I truly wand CGC to be a major competitor in the grading card sector, but they are making the same mistake SGC made this summer. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for CGC to take advantage of, This type of opportunity does not happen every year. Please CGC, do it right.
