    B - E - A - UTIFUL.

ID LOVE TO HAVE SOME 9.9'S

I have yet to score any. I was eyeing some punisher vs wolverine from early 90's? But @nepatkm suggested a pass, as he saw some scans. I might should have gone for it regardless, cause I don't often search, and haven't really seen anything on books "I'd" find interesting. Let alone a key haha 😉

    Sorry @ADAMANTIUM,

I did not mean to sway your decision away from that set.
    :sorry:

Dang.... since May for some moderns? Or was it prescreen as well?

I assume Max is the dog as well!?! I'd read that :x

No prescreen, no press, just modern submissions delivered to CGC May 7th… not “received” by CGC until July 6th, charged in August. No rhyme or reason 😆

    @ADAMANTIUM

And yes Max is the Dog, rescued by Frank, and if I remember right died twice. 😞

^ I have that same Star Wars ESB figure case. I picked it up on about 1988, on or about. I LOVED Star Wars. Constantly peskered my family members, asking if they were sure all their Xmas presents bought and handed out were accounted for, because you know, you might have got me a Luke Skywalker in X-Wing Pilot Uniform figure as a birth gift (as you can see, I had an airtight case, and also that X-Wing Luke was my most wanted figure) and just let it mature like a fine wine. So while I loved Star Wars, I was born too late to experience the OT as it was in its prime.

Over here Star Wars stuff had been off the shelf for years. Occasionally you'd get lucky. In '87 I found 4 ROTJ Admiral Ackbars just hanging on a peg, completely random. And they were clearanced. I was so happy to get my one, and leave the rest for other people like me.

The final one was about a year later. This' kids' odds and ends' store was known to occasionally stock toys, but they were up at the counter, and usually trashed or already opened. Anyway I was walking past there with my mother one afternoon and she points out to me what's in the display window: the ESB figure case, and single carded POTF figures of Barada, ID8, and R2D2 with the pop-up lightsabre. I think my mother was just about as excited as I was, as I might finally shut up for a bit. Next day she went in and got then all for me minus thr pop-op R2. I already had the Sensorscope version, and why would you need more than 1 of the same droid?

You've just brought up a brilliant memory id long forgotten about, so thank for sharing. It's amazing how much is there in our brain, just waiting for the right piece of stimuli to set if off and boom! You're back in your childhood.

    How wonderful.

Yes, great memories! Very glad to hear it sparked yours as well @Mecha_Fantastic

Man I wish my parents had a basement a long time ago lol

    Jk

All that was there later was a bunch of band posters and baseball cards Haha

Sounds like fun, hope you enjoy!

What’s funny is the recommended for children 3+ on the Micronauts figures with small projectile parts @ADAMANTIUM

The 70’s children were invincible 😆

A lot of old matchbox cars, power records,transformers/Gobots,Shogun warriors,Mego and He-Man figures… Good memories.
Hate to know what already was trashed. 🤷‍♂️

    :flamed:

Lol it's good to learn of you Haha

I didnt want just a blanket statement of loved your registry Haha so a critique of "it" is better than being droll lol

To be honest I just realized I was on the same page of the ober all registry as you, and lo and behold you have 100% pics!

I love it when I can look at pics, issue numbers alone are fun, but good to see the progression volumes be darned :sumo:

I like mine still, but it's no where near a consecutive run  :tink:

    Congrats!

    Thanks @ADAMANTIUM,

Like I always say collect what makes you happy, nothing else matters.
You have an Incredible collection also, I’m always glad to see your additions.

    While you're here lol

    Nice looking cover!

I went through and looked at your registry today ☺️

That's 55 pages of punisher gold!

It got me thinking on volumes and why vol 2 isn't sectioned off in numerical succession and has vol 3, sprinkled into it haha. Under the gallery...on the overall gallery if that makes sense :foryou:

Still looks great though, sometimes knowing the next cover to come next is fun too  though instead of doing the math :x

    I didn’t make the registry @ADAMANTIUM.

So to condense a story, I did not like DC in my youth, as to many volumes to understand, ( so did not collect them 😞 but read many)

…so I collected Marvel comics only, everything was in volumes in order, and easy to follow.

Irony is later with Marvel is they would like to start new series with creative teams that didn’t last as long ( series longevity around 2000’s) and create different volumes for alternate universes. ???

-So for myself, I like to categorize the series by year. (Production year started)

I dislike the Volumes, as confusing. :sumo:

I have my books listed on myslabbedcomics.com as the year first issue was released  (cover date)

    ohhhh the irony! 😆😆😆
