  1. I have a package that I shipped on 6/24, buyer hits me up 7/11 or something saying package hasn't arrived-was supposed to be there on 6/29 as it was just going from me in Orlando to somewhere in GA. I file my claim, case is opened, someone calls me a day later I miss call, call back next day she is not available. Later that evening the tracking on eBay says case closed! I wasn't apprised of anything. No tracking updated or explanation of where package is. Then the buyer does a solid and goes to his local PO where the package would go, and ironically speaks to the lady who was assigned to my case. She says the USPS has implemented some "new strategies" to minimize how many stops/hubs a package goes through to get delivered, and there are a bunch of packages sitting in a shipping container somewhere in a black hole which the package is probably in. Say what?!? She says the new plan has employees scratching their heads trying to figure out what to do. Ummmm, scan the fng packages and get them to their destination, maybe! Anyhow, I just had to refund the buyer as the window was closing for him to do so. I then opened a new case, this time calling the 800 number and putting in a request for a call back. I get the call back 2 hours later, explain all this to a rep, and she opens a new case. This was yesterday and no new info. I'm out almost $30 and the books is floating around somewhere getting ruined or stolen, or both...FML So, I feel for everyone's pain
  2. Batman #28 hot, huh? Who the heck is Bluebird? I think I snagged a few of those from a BAM when it came out and I believe they were 9.8 contenders.
  3. Yea, those are a great find regardless in a cheapo bin! I got those issues some years back in a $1 bin in nice shape and got almost $100 for 32-35 I think?
  4. I haven't picked up anything from this publisher yet. I flipped through a couple of books they released recently and the art etc didn't do anything for me. Also, they should have worked on their logo a little more IMO. Looks like a wrestling logo to me, and kind of just diminishes the appearance of the brand. If this is good I might check it out in trade.
  5. 7.5 too much CB corner and edge bends to warrant higher. Too bad , this was probably sitting in a cheapo bin at some point and got rescued?
  6. No better than about a 6.0. The tracing indents could be worked out with a tack iron/ball bearing, but with not much help to the grade IMO. Also, the interior tanning and BC rubbing/ color breaks etc hurts this badly.
  7. I'm at the 1.8/2.0 on this one. Top of BC looks brittle and the gloss and inks are very diminished on the book overall
  8. 8.0/8.5 doesn't really look like any type of moisture/water on BC. Just where the staples are and the fact that there is also glue involved in SB's tend to give that wave on a lot of similar books.
  9. My current HP scanner/printer can't scan a slab at all really. I mean, you can tell it is a CGC slab with a book in it, but the print on the labels is illegible.
  10. As said above maybe just remove as many as you can, re-bag and board the books and replace the boxes. After that is done try using these IGR discs. They are totally passive. Put a few in the room your storing the books and eventually the bugs can't reproduce. This is much cleaner and safer than trying a pesticide. https://www.domyown.com/gentrol-point-source-p-51.html?gclid=CjwKCAjwmMX4BRAAEiwA-zM4JpyMNf5-NIsAMTjIMeollCHXwD3rf8ZPBYDD6Twrq517bhaSKhQy-RoCFB0QAvD_BwE
  11. Thor #2 Cates run is hot as it is. A 9.8 SS is a pretty nice little book right now. I would say that FMV is at least $250+
  12. I would never store comics with the backing board inside the book...no
  13. The day that book came out my LCS had 1 on the shelf. They probably ordered a few only. One maybe for a pull-box and a couple for the shelf?? I'm just assuming but the one copy they had on the shelf was no better than about 8.5 maybe. I left it there and went about searching a few other stores with no luck. Should of just bought that copy and held onto it, and maybe had it pressed at some point. I was not much of an ebay buyer at the time so I never pulled the trigger on the few copies I saw pop up from time to time for around $10-20 maybe. Years later and I'm still just trying to find one in the wild but I believe it is a wild goose chase to say the least.
  14. Some have already listed some but here are more: wolverine origins 28 2nd print- TBH one of the earliest 2nd prints Marvel did using a interior splash page as the cover?? Never got one of these myself but check the prices and good luck finding in the wild...I never have. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=wolverine+origins+28+2nd&_sacat=63&LH_TitleDesc=0&rt=nc&LH_Sold=1&LH_Complete=1 Amazing Spider-Man 569 2nd https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313.TR2.TRC1.A0.H0.Xspider-man+569+2nd+print.TRS0&_nkw=spider-man+569+2nd+print&_sacat=63&LH_TitleDesc=0&_osacat=63&_odkw=spider-man+anti+venom+2nd+print&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1 Amazing Spider-Man 654 2nd https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1311.R6.TR9.TRC1.A0.H0.Xspider-man++2nd+print.TRS0&_nkw=amazing+spider-man+654+2nd+print&_sacat=63&LH_TitleDesc=0&_sop=16&_osacat=63&_odkw=spider-man++574+2nd+print&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1
  15. Man just print up your own priority mail label, put the comics in a flat rate box packed well so they don't get more damaged and send them back to him.....done
  16. Certain items are not good for stock photos like those for instance. Having a more unique items requires reals scans, but if you deal in new comics then using a stock photo is fine to me. Sellers just need to vet the books that are NM, then make separate listings for books below that, easy as that. Problem is, most sellers that get large quantities don't make separate listings. Everything is listed NM or better but we all know that is not possible if you get 20+ copies of something.
  17. I pack all books regardless of value like they are going into a black hole. I have a standard and don't deviate down from it, only up as the value increases. Sure, there is some ship damage on those, but after years of comic book detective work , you can also pick out the pre-shipment flaws like finger dents and some of the edge bends. Total hoser who knows his product/service sucks and hopes his customers can't grade a book. Crazy thing is he has a pretty large inventory and tons of feedback that is pretty high. I haven't left feedback but I'm really ready to pull the trigger and leave a big fat NEG!
  18. But there are some legit sellers that basically always come through on their listings with multiples. I don't mind 1 example pic or even a stock photo if you send what is advertised as the grade. If you don't we have a problem. Again, if the only outlier was the 9.0 and the other 2 were legit NM copies I could obviously live with that.
  19. Here is a link to one of the books I bought...it looks awesome, right? https://www.ebay.com/itm/ALIENS-DUST-TO-DUST-1-Variant-2018/163019650227?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
