  1. I never check that slush email account really, but just did and there is an email that all orders are being allocated to 1 copy per customer. Still don't remember where I thought I pre-ordered some more copies, oh well. The big question here is why the hell would IDW print a book before FOC!?!
  2. yep, I ordered 5 of cover A only. I'll take the money!
  3. On the TMNT Ronin book it looks like DCBS is sending me one copy. I can't remember how many I ordered, but when I go to the order that I ordered those in it says 1 as well. Usually they have how many you ordered and a note on the credits page of shortage or whatnot. I know I ordered at least 3 or 4 from them, and also believe I ordered some from MM Comics, though I see none in my orders there either. I swore I ordered a total of 6-8 from 2 venues and it looks like I'm getting 1 copy...awesome
  4. Some sales for $35-40 for cover A! $60 for 2 cover set wtf? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Batgirl-50-NM/333766543282?hash=item4db60947b2:g:nQgAAOSwbCRfltG-
  5. I have had so many damaged books from them for quite awhile it isn't even funny. When they moved to TN it was horrible, then they moved back to their original location and it got better for awhile, but now has been bad for months. They are using the larger bubble wrap instead of the mold-able styrofoam type packs they used to use and that is poblem one. The shrink and rubber band haven't been an issue I can see on my end, but most of my damages are pre-shipment. They are not vetting books at all. As another has stated, they have given me a refund/replacement on a few books without sending them back but usually I have to send larger amounts back. I've gotten some real beaters. Biggest problem is that once you get the books, they may be sold out and you get no replacement which makes pre-ordering copies of books useless. My last email with the rep that I deal with told me "we don't promise NM comics". I straight up told her I get it I'm not going to get all 9.4-9.8 comics, but once you pass the 9.0 threshold and get down to the 8.0 and below that is unacceptable. These are books you shouldn't have sent me and you can't replace them now, and they are selling for 10x cover in the case of Spawn 309 McFarlane. One of my copies is like a 7.5. I think there are some better alternatives as far as service, but with a way lower discount, and more expensive shipping.
  6. I have had a comic or 2 straight off the shelf or from a pre-order house missing the code. This is bound to happen when printing so many books with a sticker that is supposed to be inside.
  7. This is even better...listed as Newsstand when is actually Direct Edition as clearly stated in the UPC. Sellers not knowing that UPC's have been present on all comics since 1990 something. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Danger-Girl-2-Newsstand-Variant-J-Scott-Campbell-Image-Very-Good-Condition/264430874544?hash=item3d914eefb0:g:OW8AAOSwS-FdVBG6
  8. I looked at a lot of the listings on eBay and not a single seller I looked at is pointing out that these are badly printed. The same old NM or better knowing full well they are shipping out 8.5 copies mixed in with a few NM here and there. Gonna be a lot of mad buyers. I always explain print-wide flaws so there are no surprises.
  9. Just followed that link and watched the video. Then I went to another video of his and ended up on another youtuber comic video talking about that guy "Comic Gabroni" having just passed away days/weeks after that video!
  10. A couple minor tics even with slight CB can get a 9.8 with maybe 1 chad in the spine corners etc. That Harley above should not be a 9.8.
  11. Yep, as stated already that is foxing. If your hygrometer is reading 70-80 % you need to do something fast. Paper ephemera prefers a constant 45-55% humidity as going too low would quickly do the opposite to the paper and turn it brittle versus your current problem of mold. Don't put the dehumidifier in the same room as the books, because as you already stated, the unit produces too much heat. Place it in the hall or next room over etc. I live in FL and know all about humidity issues but we have central AC in almost all dwellings which pulls the moisture out of the air so I rarely ever use my dehumidifier. Even if I do use it sometimes, it is in a different room than my collection. Damp-Rid is pretty good but you'd need a lot of them to do the job depending on the size of this space. Do you have pics of the current setup/room etc. to show as that may give us a better idea on suggestions?
  12. The blue logo is the 3rd print as identified by the 00113 on the UPC and the "Collector's Edition" appears to be like a Director's Cut as that UPC say 00111. Spawn later printings can be huge winners but as of now not many care about that Haunt character. I would get them all to be honest as I'm sure those later printings are much harder to find like most other later printings and they may become pure ghosts in the future. Valiantman did a good synopsis above me so I won't even compete with that summary. However, I would say get the later printings now, and then get the 1st print at your leisure as it is common.
  13. Spawn for the last 5+ issues has had bad printing/packing/handling etc. all around. All my copies from 305 up have similar issues.
  14. #3 2nd print of the current series. That book came out 10/18 according to the CGC example I just looked at: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Venom-3-2nd-Print-1st-Full-appearance-of-Knull-CGC-9-8-White-pages-Hot-Comic/154108774916?hash=item23e1994a04:g:i-UAAOSwFtFfXowH Just 2 weeks ago or so you could have bought copies on ebay for $20
  15. Heating up: Possessed #1 from clover press Steve Niles TRANSFORMERS vs TERMINATOR #1A 1st print Venom #3 2nd print getting pricey-no surprise really FF Antithesis #2
  16. I stared at that pic...can't see the spine tick. 1 minor CB tick won't exclude a book from a 9.8. I've seen more books than I can count with 2-3 very faint CB ticks in 9.8 slabs
  17. I just got my copies of 309 from DCBS...2 of my 5 copies of cover B's were not very nice. One was real bad and of course they are long sold out so there is no way I'm getting replacements. I'm not too happy. My copies of Spawn from them have not been good all around, lot's of spine issues going on with the last few issues of Spawn. Anyone else experiencing bad copies of Spawn, or is it just me???
  18. Or 10 or 100 and hold them, then pump and dump. Imagine grabbing that book off the shelf day of release in 1938?!?
  19. it was the one one I remember being the most popular at the time of my last reconciliation. I do remember others, but this thread was the one that stayed alive for longer maybe? I don't know for sure, sue me.
  20. Doesn't the Tec N52 #0 throw that number off and make it 1027? Normally you would be right but the legacy numbering would count that 0 issue.
  21. No one is talking about FF Antithesis....Neal Adams written and drawn I think, and touts 1st app. of an Anti-Matter/Negative Zone version of Galactus. This could be ripe for Cates to grab and use later for something. He has been very good at that so far looking at his track record.
  22. Wow, I linked this page the other day because a boardie didn't know this existed and now it's blown back up
  23. no kidding.... though, I do remember when it was pretty lively for awhile
