  1. Plus, you can't collect a movie appearance and the novels are just prose;no visual representation of a character in question.
  2. I would think it might be well over 100K. Also, there is the High Republic Adventures IDW which may be overlooked.
  3. I feel you. I don't have those books myself. I'm still kicking myself for passing on SW books at a monthly $1 book sale here in Orlando that took place at a used bookstore overstock warehouse, and run by a part-time teacher who had been a comic dealer off and on his whole life. This place literally at it's peek had over 200,000 books to go through every month. In particular, I remember seeing whole boxes stuffed to the gills with DH SW books, of which I just kept passing on as I figured no one was interested in, and wouldn't be for a long time, if ever. I used that sale every month to track down stuff I could flip quickly or run fill other titles I was seeking, even though I did collect SW at the time and still do. Hindsight is 20/20 and I could have had probably 10 shorts filled with multiples of all this SW stuff that is just going insane...live and learn. My other huge blunder was not buying the Clone Wars #1 when it came out. I kept my eye out on ebay for the whole run several times and just never pulled the trigger on cheap sets. Locally, that series was a ghost.
  4. Origin of Jango Fett 1st appearance of Fett, the father of Jango 1st appearance of Darth Tyranus AKA Count Dooku, an apprentice of Yoda who turned to the Dark Side and trained under Palpatine (first appearance in an original story) 1st appearance of Jaster Meerel, led the True Mandalorians and clashed with Death Watch 1st appearance of Montross, a Mandalorian turned bounty hunter
  5. 6.0 as you say there is indents on FC from sig on inside that is not apparent from scans
  6. 3.5 press won't do much but flatten a bit and increase eye appeal just a little. Don't think it would up the grade by any more than 1 point maybe?
  7. Looks to be at least an 8.5/9.0? Hard to say on some books as the back cover and half the front cover are white, which flaws do not show easily on. Clean those whites, especially on BC and press to maybe a 9.4? Again, much higher grade books are very hard to grade via a scan/picture. Mid to low end books are much easier as the flaws are more severe, and therefore, easier to see.
  8. I still have never found that book in the wild. Apart from being in some Ultimates books, what has he done to warrant the huge price of this book besides scarcity? I'm not knocking the book as I wold love to find some cheap somewhere, but can't even fathom the asking price for a character I have never seen in any book that I have ever read. I would say hold the book for now. You sent in your own copy you purchased off the shelf for cover and paid the slabbing fees etc; you are out what, $40 landed? Even if the book tanks down to several hundred long term, you still really lose nothing. On the other hand, those that are actually paying those 9.8 prices are taking a very huge gamble. My
  9. If you are talking about the ink transfer on those inside pages, I wouldn't worry at all about that for grading purposes. The ink transfers from page to page through time and pressure sitting inside a comic box and the inks not fully cured possibly. And anyhow, I can remember seeing that on brand new books day of release back then.
  10. The poly bags on UF 4 were pretty bad. I had 4 copies and pulled them all out immediately after I purchased in a back issue box about a couple years after they had been printed I think. Most sellers were selling sealed copies as "NM or better" when it started blowing up, but there is no way to grade a book properly inside a reflective bag under normal artificial light; it is impossible. Of the 4 copies I had, 1 was about an 8.5, another a 9.0. The other two were 9.2 and 9.4 respectively. The backs had the indent from the polybag seal to some degree or another, and there was a print wrinkle right above Caps' head on all the copies I believe. You could not see this through the bag. Even better was the Satan's Sodomy Baby II from Albatross came in a very form fitting type shrink-wrap bag almost. I got about 10 copies of that from different sources and not one grades above about 9.2 right out the bag! Again sellers were listing as "NM or better" knowing full well none were actually NM or better. Always take these books out of those bags, and as other have stated, just keep the bag and possible contents in a separate bag. If you sell later you can always ship the peripherals with it, and you have graded a book competently, not just guessing or using wishful thinking to make a sale. On a side note, I thought CGC didn't take poly-bagged books, do they? I thought they had to be shipped to them free of the bag.
  11. Dang nice press jobs! You use any humidity, steel plates etc? I have just started pressing with a lower end clamp press recently with not much luck as I still haven't gotten the metal plates recommended by many on a pressing FB page, or made a humidity tank to help make the paper more pliable and in turn achieve better results.
  12. Are these newer Marvel books by chance??? The new marvel stock/inks from the past several years will rub off just by sliding the books in/out of the bag without removing the board as well. If they are, always remove the board from the bag with the comic on it and replace the same way. I use mostly regular BCW polybags with backing boards and my comics still look good years later and I live in FL. I can see if the books were getting too much moisture/temp change in a basement that that ink loss could happen just by lifting it off the board and the inks had started adhering to the board. Mylar and Fullbacks are great, but very expensive. I buy some here and there and put nicer comics in them, but doing so for my whole 20,000 book collection would be impossible for me $ wise....I can only wish
  13. Why would they put stickers on the books, just why?!? How hard is it to just put them in a bag first. The worst part is, there isn't even a price on the stickers is there?
  14. yes from the glue used. Mileage of what it looks like many years later would be due to climate conditions/storage practice. Looks 9.4+ Could be pressed but needs special care as too much heat and pressure can melt the glue and then you have serious problems
