Third or so sale of the Evil Dead mini from Dark Horse in the last couple of weeks. Not bad for a movie mini series. Can this book get hotter??? I don't find comic prices is Aus too bad, a $2.99 US book is $4.50 where I shop. But I have a pull list with the shop, so I have no problems with getting 5 copies of Revival every month, an the other 2 copies of other Image and Dark Horse titles I get. If I want 10 copies of a #1 I order online. But there isn't really that many LCS in Aus, and if you don't live in a Capital city then your only choice to get new titles is ebay. The lack of quality LCS is the problem in Australia. Only really two decent ones in Sydney, I have a pull list with one of them. Usually just pull two of an issue I'm really keen on and then get more preordered online from TFAW... That sucks mang! My mother is Australian, and I'm a dual citizen. I wish we could have a better relationship with u guys as far as the new comics go. Comics are an American sport so to speak but, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. We and the Aussies should have better connects...sucks that our postal units are so far apart as far as $$$$.

If this was the Moderns that SHOULD be heating up on ebay thread, then I would say that the new GotG 0.1 that was released a couple weeks ago should be exploding. It was stocked heavily at all stores I have been to, but on story alone it is just so good. I might even pick up a few more because it is that good and might become fire even considering the print run. Nuff Said!

I couldn't even find more than one 2nd print #1 yesterday. None at another store. Picked up one #2 last week at 9.4, the other two were beat. I think the 2nd prints will be good too.

IDK about 19, but 18 seems to be under-ordered in my area. My largest LCS chain closest to me had none the other day, but when I went to their larger store they had about 10 maybe. The book looks like it could be tough in 9.8 as the 10 I looked through only produced the 2 I bought really-and that is if CGC overlooks the tiny BC spine ticks evident on each copy I saw. Maybe there was damage on these??? I had the same problem with my LCS. Small spine ticks on the BC of Tec 18. Sometimes I feel the hired help they have to stock on release day/night before don't handle the comics 100% careful. I can tell the grab a huge handful and the weight cause the spine to bend. So I'm always picking through to find the best 2 copies If you are seeing the same thing, then it is definitely not the stores, but the printer/distributor causing the damage. Not every new comic will produce easy 9.8's in my experience-especially Marvel and a lot of the Indy companies.

What makes one a shadow gallery reader? Post count? Lack of participation on a topic? Just curious.... To me, it would be those that just come one here to read what everyone feels will be a hot book or a book that is trending. I don't think post count has much to do with it but lack of participation on the boards period I feel makes one a shadow gallery reader. Heck, wasn't there some that were brand new to the boards and the first post they put up is trying to sell books that everyone here was talking about? No introduction, no dinner & movie, just wham, bam, thank u ma'am!! i think a lot of brand new board members posted in this thread first. I don't think this thread was even in existence when I joined this site '06. Not sure though. I think my first post was in the Can You Spare a Grade thread.

Rachel Rising is fantastic. Agreed Rachel Rising is good. Too bad I only bought a handful of issues of the first 10. Stores order really low on these so nice copies were always short and I passed. I did buy and read the 1st TPB and loved it. How is the story going know???

My takes so far on the recent moderns heating up: PP #1- I just picked up 4 raw copies about a month ago. 9.0-9.4 at the highest. I think I'll wait a lil longer to see if they can squirm a little higher before selling. Batman #13 direct edition- I see no problems picking up even more of these if I want as a LCS still had copies last week. I currently have 3. I think these will settle into the $5-8 range before long. Batgirl #13 direct- Managed to get 2 9.8 copies. No more in my neck of the woods to be had. Saw a raw copy sell for $10 last week at LCS. Catwoman #13- Sheesh- I got 1 copy, my LCS caught the second one in the stack, and took it from my pile. No more around here for sure. I see this book being the hardest to get of the prologue set. I'm gonna check for the newsstand variants 2morrow. Valiants seem to be getting under-ordered, as I've had trouble getting more than 1 copy of Bloodshot and Harbinger for the last couple of issues. These could see a spike soon if the stories and art stay consistent. Walking Dead comics seem to be $10 a piece just for the more recent common issues, say #90-95-and selling consistently around here. I was just browsing the ebay closed listings the other day and decided to look up some of those Virgin Comics runs. I saw more than one run of the first Ramayan series sell for at least cover, if not slightly over. Might be a fluke but who knows? I thought all these titles were $1 bin fodder. I have several LCS's I go to. I don't have a sub, as my buying is so off and on as a part worker/full time student. I guess I'll just try and call them tomorrow maybe and see if they'll hold a couple. It's just crazy when ebay sellers have books up for triple cover before it even ships.

I get really irked when people bump a books price up before it even hits shelves. For instance the Catwoman 13. I'm sure I won't be able to get to a store tomorrow because of school and I won't ever pay triple cover for a brand new DC book.

My closest store still had about 6-7 copies of Batgirl today. I bought 2, and will prolly get a couple more. If they had that many, there larger sister store will prolly have a nice stack- I might just load up.

Boy, so I was hoping to read some good moderns heating up on ebay news and all I got was 8 pages of soap opera drama-epic fail.

So I just read the first two issues and, well, big mistake-now I'm hooked on another book!

I have a pretty good run of that series. I know I have 2-4 copies of #1 as it stands. I figured it might some day be a sought after book, but didn't know why.
