  1. It is time I think. I just have dupes of 1-6. Also a couple extra #1's and #2's. I also have a few of the last issue as well. I liked the book a lot, but didn't buy comics at all for about 5 months so I felt too far behind to play back issue hunting for good copies. The last 4 or 5 issues also seemed to have print/shipping flaws as well which turned me off to trying to complete a HG run.
  2. Gotham City Sirens is just hot period. The HC's are even seeing price increases on the secondary market. Not that this a new trend however. I just wish I would have stuck with the series long enough to complete the run as it came out. Strict NM/+ copies are getting harder to get it seems.
  3. A couple more books on my radar due to past experience with modern "all ages books", among other series/issues I think might be good down the road: Kiss Kids #1-4- Kiss fans are relentles in their pursuit of collectibles with the band on them. Small print runs probably, plus being a book for younger audiences, means the book could be good down the road in high grade. Might not be a quick flipper though. Itty Bitty Hellboy1-6?- Same criteria as above. Hellboy completists will want this. Kept in high grade will be HTF down the road. Ame-Comi Girls vol.2 #4- 1st Sinestra. Not in regular continuity, but lets not forget where Harley Quinn first appeared. Dexter #1- I'm sure most already know about this book. Based off the book series and not the show. Can still be pre-ordered from TFAW for a discount. Batman Beyond Universe- Due to the trend of non-continuity characters being crossed over into their respective regular universes has been on an upswing lately. I see many first appearance coming from this series possibly. That's all for now, I got to go to work
  4. Man why didn't I listen to my inner voice when I had those #1's in my hand a few months ago?!? I put them back as I just didn't have the funds to get everything I wanted that day.
  5. I'm punching myself for not buying those when they dropped. I had a couple in my stack and put them back
  6. I go to school for Games design, and have to do concepts all the time. I have drawn all my life , but don't ever stick with it long enough to really master it. One day I'll hopefully knuckle down and get serious in perfecting my drawing. Anyhow, here is a little sample of some of my art. I always have a problem with facial lopsidedness for some reason. There are some traditional pieces as well as digital, and vector art. I might post some of my 3d art if you want. I don't see anything in the thread banning anything other than comic art.
  7. don't worry, I don't have that kind of money.
  8. I also keep my eyes out for these issues. I once had one of the Mickey issues on the list. I bought it for $.30, and sold it for $35. Not a bad margin me thinks. I kind of wish I would have kept it though.
  9. How awesome is this? Never knew it existed. Nice fined! Would love to read the story myself some day. I still can't believe I don't own a copy of this yet. It has been on my wish list for years. Nice looking copy!
  10. I now the Spider-Man Unlimited Vol. 2 #8 is the first comic writing by Joe Hill. Though I don't know why a Locke and Key show/movie would be good for that book. I own a few myself, but don't know if it will gain any momentum ever.
  11. "The Maxx" was made into a cartoon. How much are those books worth? Speaking of cartoons. Sometime in August. DC VS MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE #1 I expect some buzz on it. I've got this on my pull list already. I like the new MOTU books they've been putting out.
  12. Not to mention some of the prices on these books. Makes me not feel so bad paying $2.99 for modern goodness.
  13. I love how everyone is fighting and beating each other to pulp whilst the one rocker is cranking out some chords on his guitar.
  14. That first cover is the worst art I've ever seen!!!! The rest aren't too far behind. I see stuff like this in cheapo bins and just keep moving...yikes
  15. Books like the Infinity Gauntlet were pushed hard, and popular at the time. But not Spider-Man #1 numbers for sure.
  16. I believe the Red Hulk deadpool variants are still $$$$$ as well.
  17. Hey whetteon, wtf is up with that Supes #6?? $23.50 w/ 26 bids from a 0 feedback seller. Am I missing something ya'll??? Like the the new site layout as well.
  18. Yea, I remeber that cover when it dropped as well. I didn't know it was that scarce. Though, I haven't seen it for some time.
  19. I got Six-Gun Gorilla the other day too. I liked it as well. Will be in for the series. Another series I checked out was A1 comics, an anthology series by a new publisher called Titan I believe. I has 3 stories in it and they were all pretty good.
  20. It's been a hot book for a while. I think because it features two fan favorite characters, and it had pretty low print run for something Deadpool compared to today's standards. 102 Venom Deadpool 1 $2.99 Marvel 17,609 What he said. Plus, like it was a re-print of back-up stories in 4 issues of What if?... If you got those four, there's probably a better chance you wouldn't pick up the re-print. +2 I picked up a couple copies of this when it was released. I sold one on the boards like 2 years ago and got $30 for it. I am still kicking myself for not buying a couple more when I had the chance. Oh well, the one copy I have left is a solid 9.8.

  22. I think a lot of copper drek that was once plentiful will begin to dry up in high grade at some point. How long have these books been lingering in discount bins, handled/stored poorly due to their red-headed stepchild status?? Not to mention the fact that a lot of people realized many years ago that they couldn't get squat for them from an LCS or ebay, and just tossed them. Some books will take longer than others obviously, but I already have a tough time locating HG, NM or better copies of lots of 90's books, especially 2nd and later printings, and issues in the higher numbers of a title's life.
  23. Never heard of this one. Any details about this, for the uninformed?? http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=6763681&fpart=1
