  1. I’m totally shocked to be anywhere near the top. Need a strong finish. A couple drinks and my glasses on tap tonight while I stare at scans.
  2. I downgraded it when I noticed the spine area around the picture frame was missing it's color. Hit the bullseye on this one after initially having it at an 8.0. It's a very nice looking book, but there's lots of little things going on with it that add up.
  3. That was the safe guess, I went the other way and cost me 2 points, not terrible. Think I ended up with 5 this round for a total of 8.
  4. I won't lie, that ASM 300 messed with me, I was torn between the white line along the spine being a crease or just a reflection on the slab, clearly I was wrong.
  5. Got a first round. Second round I got a . Maybe I didn’t tank as bad as I thought.
  6. Much tougher this round, at least I think so. Lot's of little things I'm curious to see how they reflect in the final grades. Thanks Mike for doing the heavy lifting to give us all a good time and challenge how we view grading.
  7. Great work everyone. Totally shocked I did as well as I did, the Batman absolutely screwed me up. Still 3 bullseyes, not bad for a rookie.
  8. In a shocking twist, I had an order (modern 25 book prescreen) that showed received on 12/20/2021 that just shipped. The status never changed from Scheduled for Grading, just straight to shipped. The bad news, I did horrible on the books. Either my eyes are slipping or things are getting super tight in the grading room. I didn't fast track either. In and out in about two weeks, meanwhile I have other modern packages that have been there for months. Maybe this one just snuck through and cut in line?
  9. Update, a year after being received, I'm told they should be graded the 3rd week of January.
  10. I may win this one. Magazine submission sent for pressing/grading received by CGC 12/7/2020 just this week finally updated to received by CCS. I expect to have them back sometime in 2022, maybe.
  11. I'm with everyone else here, had a 40 book sub deleted last night trying to check out and now I can't even get the form to load. Very disappointed, and that's with several orders already sitting in house just waiting to get looked at. I'm just getting into this part of the hobby and CGC is quickly losing my faith in them. The time we are putting into lost orders, let alone the price increase after paying for a year subscription is bad business.
  12. Thanks everyone. It was a fun experiment for sure. If I found the right book in a pgx slab I'd be willing to see if I can go two for two. First burn would end that experiment quick enough.
  13. Very happy to have this done and with the end result. Even got the bump in page quality I thought the book deserved.
  14. Thanks for the heads up. All 25 are the same tier, so I must have messed up. I assume the best fix would be to just create a new invoice?
  15. I am submitting 25 books for a 9.8 prescreen. On the packing slip there is no mention of the prescreen selected. Not sure if I messed up somewhere in the process or this information just isn't included on the packing list. Is there a way to check?
  16. I did some searching knowing that the answer is out there but still came up empty. I want to submit a book that CGC hasn't seen before, how to I go about providing info for it? Is it limited to what I can add on the submission form and they will pull the rest (writer, artist) from the book in hand?
  17. Thanks for the info, much appreciated.
  18. Curious on thoughts about this signature inside my Swamp Thing #1. It somewhat matches Bernies signature I've seen on certain items (included an example from a Captain Stern print). I've had the book since the early '90's and I didn't get it signed. It is honestly a beautiful copy, a 9.6 and possibly even a 9.8 but I'm concerned how CGC might treat the unconfirmed signature.
