  1. Had to have been that nyc convention then. Thanks.
  2. Thanks and doing some quick research you’re right the timeline doesn’t seem to make sense. Maybe I’m misremembering...i did go to one convention in NYC years later with my son...early 2000s...so maybe then? Just doesn’t sound right. It remains a mystery but thanks for clearing up at least the who.
  3. Can anyone solve the mystery? i got this at a convention in late 70s/early 80s. My recollection is there was a comic artist there and he drew that for me. sorry if this isn’t the forum for this. thanks!
  4. I don’t see that exactly but it certainly has imperfections. Any thoughts on if clean/press would improve it enough to warrant the cost? Especially if going to get it graded and slabbed.
  5. X-Men 4...one of my favorites. Bought this at a late 70s convention...one of the brighter things I did as a kid. Trust me, you don’t want to know how much I paid. let me know what you think and my usual question on clean/press (which I’ve never done) before I get it graded and slabbed (also never done but about to do a lot it seems). Thank you!
  6. Thanks for the feedback. It definitely has some minor blemishes (I bought it new when I was a kid so amazing it's in as good condition as it is!)...I was thinking 8.0-8.5 and maybe clean/press to a 9.0 but I'm no expert.
  7. So my first PGM posts netted a consensus of 2.5 on FF3 and 4 on Marvel Premiere 5...so hoping to do better here (but appreciate the input!). Let me know what you think and if pressing would lift it.
  8. Thanks for the background. I got this new in the late 70s but just can't remember exactly where/how. Not looking to sell....was just curious as to the history.
  9. I’m new to this (so probably posting in wrong place) but was going thru my collection for first time in long time and happened to see back of my Captain America 110 and the writing that it is autographed by Steranko...and sure enough it is. And though rebagged and boarded, I still have the tape with the price I apparently tried to sell it for at the one and only convention I ever got a booth at probably 40 years ago...$4.25. Glad it didn’t sell. what a cover!
  10. I’m original owner...was happy to find out recently that a) this was in my collection b) it’s no longer worthless 😁. would love to know what you think and I’m guessing might benefit from clean/press. Thank you!
  11. Thank you. I’m new to all this...bought all my comics before I was 18 and have just held on to them. Do you think pressing a comic like this would make sense?
  12. I’ve owned this for about 45 years...never been graded...would love to know what you think! Thanks.
  13. Anyone have any info on this? I’ve had it forever but don’t know where I got it. The second photo is what’s on the back.
