  1. I had agreed to pay by posting the BIN, and then PM'd him asking for his paypal info in order to make payment. The book was mine in my mind, and apparently the seller agreed at some point
  2. After I put down the BIN, I attempted to register the book on the registry. It was registered to him, so I received a message indicating that they would check with the owner. Just checked my email a few minutes ago and found that sitting there...
  3. PM's tell the first account of what took place. If I didn't post PM's, then someone would be bound to say "let the PM's do the talking." The sale had not gone through, and the only day in my posting the the BIN beforehand was the staple.
  4. What are you talking about? What does that have to do with this situation?
  5. What I do know is this: I posted the BIN in the thread before the transaction was verified with the purchaser. I will post the first communication I have from the seller: And this was one minute before I purchased: Book appears to be mine the way I see it. If the book was officially sold, then it should have been removed from the thread, marked as sold in the thread. He was awaiting confirmation when I threw down the hammer
  6. I have numerous PM's from the seller that can verify that he was active on the computer...he just choose to ignore his thread. He was trading PM's with me and the other guy for a bit. Not sure what he was saying to the other guy, but he was explaining to me why he couldn't sell to me.
  7. I don't have the full details, because I have some conflicting PM's from the seller. It sounds like additional time to pay was requested from the prospective purchaser, at the same time I was trying to verify the integrity of the staple via PM. Bottom line, I agreed to purchase with no strings attached after verifying that the staple was not rusted, whereas, as I understand it, modified terms were being discussed with a different potential purchaser via PM. All I have to say is
  8. Bad situation indeed. It sounds like the situation that you have articulated in your post is pretty close to how things broke down. However, I have not seen the proof to back this up, and PM posts can be modified. Per the PM's that I have, I have every reason to believe the book is mine. The fact that I received congrats from so many people after posting the BIN, and the fact that the seller didn't mark the book sold after he allegedly rceived a PM, just ads to a confusing situation.
  9. It doesn't sound like it is going to resolved on the seller's end. I have now received word from him that he is going to sell to the other board member, regardless of what any of the mods have to say. A perfectly good Sunday ruined with foolishness
  10. Thanks for the support Billy. These were the terms, and I hit the sign per those terms:
  11. Exactly, the book is rightfully and truly mine.
  12. It sure is. The book was purchased on the boards per the seller's terms, and he is now attempting to state that he agreed to the sale prior to my posting my posting the sign in his thread Book is mine in my opinion, and I have been accepting conrats in the selling thread for an hour so now...
  13. I posted the BIN for a book that I really wanted, and now I am being told that he can't sell the book to me because of communications via PM rules
  14. It looks like I may have a situation divad. PM sent.
  15. I listed up an All Top #9 in the sale section today, and tonight I will be putting up a CGC 7.5 copy of Rangers #26! Linky: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2986197#Post2986197
