  1. I definitely think I need to see this again to appreciate it more. I also wish I’d managed to truly avoid the leaks, apart from Aunt May I expected everything else so it didn’t hold as much of a wow moment for me. Of course that’s completely my own fault and it will still be one I re watch many times over! One of my favourite moments was seeing him in the real deal suit at the very end, at last!
  2. I’ve had a book come back a 9.8 and it had a production flaw on the cover. I didn’t know that it was when I sent it in (sort of like a small raised bump) but suspected it as I couldn’t see how it was caused by anything other than when it was printed. However I also know that the value of the book wouldn’t be the same as others in a 9.8, as we know they aren’t all equal when I comes to eye appeal. Just something to bear in mind.
  3. Surprisingly I've got into this series more than the other D+ shows. Maybe it's that back to basics style that is drawing me in, away from the cosmic level threats and focusing things in one place. No denying the christmas setting has elevated it too!
  4. There is certainly something about it that makes it so re-watchable. Specific moments in the film are so satisfying to watch every time. Some of the others have mentioned a few already but even the seemingly low key moments are put together so well, something as simple as the scene of Steppenwolf breaking his way into Cyborg's Dads lab. That giant slo-mo stride he takes as he appears through the smoke with the awesome music behind him. It just wouldn't of worked in the theatrical version with the old character design that had no threat or menace about him at all.
  5. I don’t even own a record player yet but considering it now. That set is amazing and the soundtrack itself is worthy of it.
  6. Agreed. The spike during the pandemic era has been so huge that even a slight drop won't bring things down to anywhere near what it was a year and a half ago. If you have access to GP Analysis and check on any key/minor key, the chart just goes mental beyond 2020. Picking up some those early low grade silver age books is no longer affordable in the £100 - £150 range anymore, I can't even go near the higher grade stuff nowadays. And that's just for books that weren't even thought of as keys.
  7. Glad they held off on further reveals and surprises. Plenty to see for the first time when the film releases, it's just a problem for those of us that can't get to the cinema quickly enough as the internet is going to be a dangerous place after 15th when we get here in the UK!
  8. There’s a pretty good track record of this. Carnage being a recent example. If you want to sell then get in around trailer time, if you want to buy just give it a few weeks after release.
  9. That lineup could of been insanely good and rivalled the MCU for a coherent universe / story. With its own get out clause at the end to then go in a different direction and change the characters / actors. Ive just re watched MOS and it’s still far superior to most superhero films of the last decade. How anyone could say that it wasn’t an uplifting movie with that incredible theme…. The brief moment in ZSJL where he emerges in the black suit and the theme swells is one of the best moments of the film. To see that play out again on the big screen in a true sequel would be incredible. But sadly feels less and less likely these days.
  10. I thought the same. Watched it on Disney plus and knew roughly what to expect being an MCU origin story. Was hoping to be more surprised and although I found some of the action pretty cool I feel they missed an opportunity to avoid the standard CGI monster fight ending. Simu Liu was cool though, look forward to seeing more of him.
  11. This film is going to be huge. Massive star power and ultimate nostalgia to cater to every fan regardless of which iteration of Spidey they prefer. I can't wait. The poster is not a bad effort but still lacks much imagination, a problem I find in most MCU poster styles.
  12. It amazes me when this happens. So satisfying! Taking pride back in the day of placing a comic in a bag and board so it looks good. No intention at the time of ever slabbing it but one day it pays off.
  13. I started collecting as a kid so it was always purely for the stories and getting as many comics as I could for the money I had. Simply collecting was addictive and so much fun with amount the variety out there. Even as I got older and understood more about ‘keys’ etc I would still take £50 to a comic show and buy as many as I could because I just never considered I’d ever be able to afford the big ones anyway. It was actually only very recently during the pandemic boom that I joined these boards and got back into comics quite heavily again. I soon realised that plenty of what I had was now worth decent money so I started selling with the aim of picking up a few big books that had always been out of reach. Then it got addictive again! Ive since dabbled slightly in flipping to build up those funds but ultimately it’s all leading back to being a collector and finally owning some of those special keys.
  14. Can’t believe I never appreciated this one before, so hard to come by now and even low grade prices are huge.
  15. That’s exactly what they should be, pure reader issues. But there’s a demand for them in recent years and I guess it takes a while before they reprint again. I do think it’s cool to have a copy of something like an AF15 in its original format though, as opposed to within a trade or omnibus. Maybe that’s what drives the prices on these…
  16. After all the positive word on this series I decided to get the hardcover collection that's just been released, it's a lovely looking 'absolute' style format and hopefully worthy of the story.
  17. I’ve just looked it up and found out the UK is not one of the countries getting HBO Max this month. Booooo! But when we do I’m expecting to see some of this big billboard ZSJL goodness about. WB UK actually supported the release so should be on side.
  18. Just finished this and I have to agree that it was a top top show. The first half of Episode 1 had me a bit sceptical if I was going to continue but once I got to Episode 2 and into the characters I really enjoyed it. Also very impressive CG and practical effects, all flowed really well.
  19. Ray Fisher continues to call him out too. Not sure what's going to come from all of the A>E stuff but at least Whedon has been taken off the scene and is no where near anything these days.
  20. Superman: Son of Kal El #1 and #2 seeing some £15 - £20 sales after the recent news announcement. I've been reading the series so far and it's not too bad, could be worth holding on to if it spikes a bit more.
  21. True, but they can’t be that daft to repeat the same mistakes can they? Then again WB don’t disappoint when it comes to ignoring the fan reactions and doing whatever anyway. Just go back to the style of the first one and drop the campy wink to the camera nonsense. The WW in ZSJL is basically the top tier version we’ve seen, a full movie of that WW would be amazing.
  22. It’s a big play on nostalgia but that teaser still got me, really hoping they pull this off. We haven’t seen his face yet but I wonder if this will be de-aged Keaton ala Doc Ock in No Way Home.
  23. Yep, definitely looks as good as we were all hoping. March isn’t too far away
  24. Teaser was great, just seeing the Rock coming into the DC world is so exciting, the guy has so much passion for what he does. I still find it intriguing that he often talks about the hierarchy of power in the DC universe changing, then he’ll reference how he can take on Superman…. is there a bigger announcement yet to tie in that wasn’t at DC Fandome. ie where is the Man Of Steel in all of this!
