  1. I wonder if that moment will ever see the light of day, even just to know what the scene was about. A set up for the GL corps I presume or a reason as to where they were during the events of JL.
  2. I love this thread, never seen these covers before or appreciated how wild silver age Batman was. He’s basically done it all and been in every situation you can ever think of. That Thor ‘crossover’ is amazing 😂
  3. No doubt that the Flash got some much better exposure in the Snyder Cut, a few people I know who have seen it are now more interested to see something more from him. The thing that we can't tell at the moment is whether the solo film has to ignore the events of the Snyder Cut, which would be a real shame as he did so much for the team after doing practically nothing in the 2017 version.
  4. Sounds like getting a sequel would rely on HBO themselves stepping in to the studio politics fray, this could be a long wait before any formal announcement. By then WB will probably already be sweeping this one under the rug to announce other projects whilst pretending to ignore the online support for more. In the meantime the repeat view of the film is going down well for me, enjoying lots of the little moments that improve pretty much every scene.
  5. I think the sheer enjoyment that Odenkirk will have got from making this film will make me enjoy it too It's a film we've seen so often but with a lead like him I think I can make room for another one.
  6. I've been listening to the score whilst at work as it was one of the things that I had high hopes for but didn't fully pick up on whilst watching it first time round. It didn't quite grab me in the way Man of Steel did for example, but like with BvS it is coming through better when I listen to it in full, picking up on the new cues from certain scenes but also the callbacks to the previous films. Hearing the MOS theme worked in is so satisfying! And the actual JL theme has grown on me now.
  7. Now all we need is a comment from Whedon or Johns.... will they have an opinion or are they being silenced by WB...?
  8. What do people think about the possibility of an actual continuation to this? The snydercut itself was obviously a long shot and eventually came to be, so impossible to rule things out. Could a follow up be even more of a long shot...? Personally I'd be happy to see even just a comic series continuing the story. But we all know money talks and so far they seem to be doing quite well out of this release.
  9. Crazy isn’t it, I knew for example that Cyborg was changed but not to that extent. My wife who enjoys most comic movies couldn’t believe how different he was by getting his full role back. Shame things didn’t work out with the Flash movie for him to appear again.
  10. I think I know exactly what you mean, it’s so weird knowing the other version that exists and then thinking of the scenes side by side, comparing them but also trying not to let the disappointment of 2017 get in the way. Sort of makes it seem even weirder that WB did what they did and went to such effort to get the cast to re shoot scenes and sets, often for seemingly pointless reasons now that we’ve seen the original. I’d love to see the opinion of someone who hasn’t seen the theatrical to do it the other way around and start with this one....
  11. Seen it, loved it, easiest 4 hours I could of sat through. The time flew by and I actually enjoyed the chapter breaks as it made me grin a little each time! Amazing how different all the characters come across in this, so much better and in line with what we saw from people in MOS and BVS. In fact I'm stunned there was so much footage left out including a couple of moments (not sure if we're talking spoilers yet?) where I can't believe it didn't leak that it had been shot (and I'm not talking about the additional photography we knew about). The score was obviously better and I think I'll appreciate it more on second viewing, sometimes a certain cue throws me but then I get into it and see how it works. Even the footage that we'd seen in 2017 came across differently, purely based on the tone of the scene and how it fit with the original story. I really enjoyed Cyborg's father in this (mostly as I have a soft spot for the actor since T2). Some of the jokes didn't quite land but many others did, including some that I wasn't expecting and some that were just handled better in the context of the films style. I was also very pleased to see Batman was not useless as he came across in 2017, he did so much more for the team here. Looking forward to the next viewing to catch all the details I missed.
  12. Not surprising, all the big movies are surely going to move to just beyond the summer to be on the safer side of getting attendances. I enjoyed the first one so looking forward to this, plus it gives me time to send my 'Venom vs Carnage' comics for grading, ready for selling when the trailers start to drop!
  13. I love it when a review calls a film 'mad' in a positive light. It's all I could think when I watched Fury Road and I enjoyed the heck out of that. Only 2 more days to go
  14. I'm guessing that documentary is going to be from the time before Snyder stepped down and then pick up when he returned to complete. But how funny/amazing it would be if out of the blue it started off with Cavill, fully moustached, shaking his head in disbelief at what he was being asked to do by Whedon.
  15. So many nice comments to read in those review snippets. I'm sure lots are probably from people who wanted this to be good and perhaps were a DC fan already but since I fall into that category myself then I only look forward to it even more and I think I'm going to love it. Film making history has literally been made! I can respect negative reviews as no film is going to be for everyone, but those remarks by that Scott Mendelson fella are pretty dumb. Surely you could say that any film of length is nothing but an assembly cut with a bunch of deleted scenes if all you're looking for is a beginning, middle and end with no character development or room to breathe.
  16. This is why it's probably worth hanging on to the likes of USM at the moment, they don't fetch much now so barely worth selling but all it would take is one of those random shifts in the market where people turn their attention to something different/more attainable for whatever reason. I guess the problem is that the appearance of the characters on screen have often been a bit of a blend between the 606 and the ultimate version, so the MCU doesn't necessarily drive the ultimate issues in the same way it does the regular. If none of this works out, at least the likes of USM are a great hand-me-down for any kids or new readers you know that might want to get into comics and enjoy some great modern stories.
  17. Particularly when you remind yourself of those scenes such as Batman smiling and stuttering about not liking Superman.....
  18. In a weird way I'm almost tempted to watch the theatrical again before Thursday, maybe pretend it's an SNL skit before watching the premiere.
  19. Sounds like there are a few private screenings going on in advance of next week, good signs so far. I think once we get to 18/03 I'll have to disappear off the internet for a couple of days until I've seen it!
  20. Holy moly, best teaser yet. I get it why he has to take this route of advertising, got to evidence this is an all new film. We obviously know some of the storyline elements remain the same but it's clear to see they will be done in a completely different way, plus so much more added to it. And you just know there are bound to be some unrevealed surprises being saved for the film itself. The film is genuinely epic in scope, if you were to think of this scenario in reverse it's like taking 'Fellowship of the Ring' or 'Endgame' and cutting it to pieces to fit into 2 hours whilst re-filming a bunch of scenes for seemingly no reason other than to add jokes and make it look brighter (and cheaper). People would just think you were insane. Once I've watched it I'll enjoy seeing some of the comparisons that come out. As someone mentioned earlier, the idea of a future documentary detailing the journey to making this film would be amazing to see. Particularly as there seems to be no comments coming out from the likes of Whedon or Johns about the whole thing. More will come out in time. Some of the comparisons that people on youtube have already done (based on trailer footage) show just how weird some of the changes were, hence why we got the parody version before the real deal.
  21. I like how he seems to shrug off the leak, the whole thing must be exhausting doing things under these strange circumstances between the studios, support from one area but not another etc. Roll on 18th, let the film speak for itself. So far I'm enjoying the teaser build ups and the character spotlights, really driving the momentum in to the last week.
  22. Shame about the leak, I had a feeling something might slip before next week but at least it was only the first hour!
  23. Just had a nosy at the Sad Lemon Comics page and saw this ASM 62 on there in various forms. Playing the variant game can be dangerous, so many good looking covers!
