  1. Just reading the email list now. It makes for staggering reading, and a stark realisation that someone has to of robbed a bank recently! p.s In an attempt to bolster my own collection, if you could kindly mail over the balaclava, and sawn-off shotgun, I'd be much abliged (thumbs u
  2. Post a scan dude, awesome pick up. Looks like a 9.8 and better than the Pacific Coast copy. One of the best reads of that era. Will do!!! I will have a lot of scanning and posting to do over the weekend... Life's tuff at the top I wouldn't know...I'm still # 4... ....but not from a ped perspective
  3. That's the reason I read somewhere, a hot room or something. Nice book Frederic!! (thumbs u Ya from what I've seen OW/W is the exception, not the rule. Plus a few dust shadows seen. But not to worry, Heritage still get those graded out at 9.4 (thumbs u Must of been a room with plenty of natural light.

  5. ...and 'infadel' is what I call everyone But on a serious note...got any more for sale
  6. X-Men rip off junk Infadel! Your looking at the template for every inch of comic space X-men ever filled! Do you think Marvel should pay some royalty rights to DC, seems the right thing to be doing
  7. Frederic, you had a chance to look at that new ST #111 up on Pedigee. For a 9.0, it's looking quite a sharp book. Plus a minor ped to boot. Definitely worth a look see.
  8. Korvac, I think road kill will look like 5 star dining soon. CGCw has manged to grab a good amount of the lower graded WM's, from here on in it's 9.6 stratosphere to contend with! If I recall, I think most of the 60's issue's for WM's are 9.6, and gone through Heritage for a minimum of $1000.00 a pop. Ouch! #57 oooh, 9.6 $3,500....and so on and so on....
  9. Not a commonly seen book for some reason, sweet copy!!
  10. That is a boast, considering the breadth of your collection! I think a lot of people underestimate the TTA's from this era, simply because of the title continuing from it's GA monster mash/Scifi origins. The numbering sort of obscures their place in the SA continuim. But those early Hulk issue are early SA books (pre 66'), which are simply hard to get, and 59-69 are the true rarities to get in top order. Congrats, and well done on securig such a prized book!
  11. Was speaking with a big dealer last night, and incidentally mentioned the book, with no particular refernce to anyone/thing, he said that he didn't regard the book as a key. So $8k is definitely a fanatic's nose bleed price all right. I've got Cap's second SA apearance in 9.4, so that'll do for me, the ST book is strickly for the HG completists.
  12. Well all the low $ books went pretty quick, which is a trend from the last 2 years that seems to be holding, to my surprise. I thought the wind might of died from the ST sail of late... guess not. PLus you seem to cemented yourself in the leader pack of ST collectors on the registry. There's a decent gap to you hit the next guy below you now. Your not tempted to go for gold on that #114 in 9.6. It's a nice book, but a bit of bank breaker for sure.
  13. Erik, now thats a little rich, as you did pretty darn well out of the previous mass offerings of ST books pedigree posted up! You got some real gems out of that lot.
  14. I hear you re Doug books, but criminal is what these books in HG are now going for, is the best description. Nevermind what Doug's pricing would ever be. I think the books that people got when Filosa sold off his run look like bargain prices now. Pariticularly for the ped copies of various books in the run. It's obviously fair to say for all SA Marvel, (and DC) titles, that as census numbers thicken up, the superior qulaity of certain peds will stand the test, and remain highly sort after. Even in a field of books grading out the same. People familiar with the peds will know what distinguishes them above other copies of a given book. Yes there are always going to be books that will make ped copies look average from time to time. But for the likes of many collectors who are relying purely on a hazy scan from which to do their sort after high-end purchases, peds provide a certain comfort factor with their on-line purchases. Which I think goes some ways to explaining why that TTA sale in the clink auction for the Boston #82. It was not the highest graded, and what 6? other copies in the same grade. But those who know Boston's, know that they are very clean, crisp books...with dare I say it, a shot at a resub in the case of the #82. In that case, $1200 looks well spent.
  15. Thats a very sweet copy of that book!!! Congrats on a big score
  16. Oh ya, did anyone clock that sale of a TTA#93 9.6 on Pedigree the other week. The price was a huge jump, but it looks like the guy at Socal comics sold his copy form the Hollywood hills collection for a similar amount a little while earlier. He'd been asking $3,200, and sold for $2,500. And then the copy on doug's site went for $2,850. Both copies were W pages, but the HH copy had a miswrap happening. I know the issue has a Surfer tie in, but still it has to impact on the rest of the run to some dgree of another. As $3000 will get you a #59 in 9.6...hich is a hugely under rated SA key. Not to mention #60. They look like bargain prices in comparison to the #93.
  17. Korvac, you know it all makes so much sense. It's a great set, and it looks like your pulling together one of the more premier runs together! Though it's mindful to know, doing some quick sums, I think Doug tops out at about 25,000 points for his mostly PC run of 59-101. The rest of the mere mortals are squabbling around the half way mark of that total. Scary thought. Though I did chuckle when he put his TTA #50 9.8 up in his general sale area a little while back. I think he put an asking price of $8,000 on it. Now I not sure what noxious plants grow in Florida, but that day I reckon dougy boy had been smoking a good amount of them.
  18. Steve, your 'habit' is terryfying for the rest of us mere salaried boys. Your collecting at a stunning rate. And I know you've been collecting for a fair while, but of late, you've hoovered up a good portion of the cream of the books entering the market place! Got to take a breath there bud, and leave a little room for the rest of us So what have you got your eye on on the clink auction... so I know NOT what to waste my time bidding on p.s it's almost a rhetorical statement... but truly some superb pckups there!!!
  19. Look on the registry in a week or two, I'm sure it will become obvious.
  20. classic stuff, and a book I've never seen before. Can't beat a Zeck Punisher cover!!
  21. Welcome to the boards And your refering to ST's #130. I personally don't have one, sorry. Someone around here should have one to hand
  22. Korvac, again another top pickup! Old label plus white pages, on whats one of my very early favourite books from the title, it's combination that simply can't be beat.
  23. Was thinking the same thing. It's a great presentation piece to do for slabbed books. And can be adapted a few different ways. Russ, very nice indeed!
